A tradition is a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past. Common examples include holidays or impractical but socially meaningful clothes (like lawyer wigs or military officer spurs), but the idea has also been applied to social norms such as greetings. Traditions can persist and evolve for thousands of years—the word "tradition" itself derives from the Latin tradere or traderer literally meaning to transmit, to hand over, to give for safekeeping. While it is commonly assumed that traditions have ancient history, many traditions have been invented on purpose, whether that be political or cultural, over short periods of time. Certain scholarly fields, such as anthropology and biology, have adapted the term "tradition," defining it more precisely than its conventional use in order to facilitate scholarly discourse.
Biryani (pronounced [bɪr.jaːniː]), sometimes spelled biriyani or biriani, is a mixed rice dish from the Indian subcontinent. It is made with spices, rice and meat or vegetables.
The word "biryani" is derived from the Persian language, which was used as an official language in different parts of medieval India, by the various Turkic and Mughal ruling dynasties of Central Asian origin. One theory is that it originates from "birinj", the Persian word for rice. Another theory is that it derives from "biryan" or "beriyan" (to fry or roast). A rice pilaf with meat, called büryan is made by the Turkish and other Moslem communities of Macedonia.
The origin of the dish is uncertain. In North India, different varieties of biryani developed in the Muslim centres of Delhi (Mughlai cuisine), Lucknow (Awadhi cuisine) and other small principalities. In South India, where rice is more widely used as a staple food, several distinct varieties of biryani emerged from Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Andhra is the only region of South India that does not have many native varieties of biryani.

Traditional Thugs - MGTOW Pentecostalism‘s Dark Side http://www.religion-online.org/showarticle.asp?title=3338 MGTOW Mystery Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ki9HpwX9Pg Hi Everyone Sandman Here, This video is brought to you by a donation from Mr. Anonymous and here's what he has to say: "Hi Sandman, this request is a bit more personal and a lot more feisty than the last. Having been raised Pentecostal, I always found the Pentecostal church to be cult-like, thuggish, devious, boring, and anti-intellectual. I never fitted in. I never liked them, and they never liked me. They also always have a lack of males for the available females. The pastor is nearly always a loud alpha male thug-type. When the boys become teenagers they lose interest in church and they try to leave. What mo...

During the past 20 years Robin Wood has produced and sold over 30,000 wooden plates and bowls from his small workshop nestled into a Peak District hillside. Creating items for everyday use and making a living from his work as a craftsman is a fundamental principle underpinning Robin's working lifestyle. He seems very happy with the path he has chosen but his activities are not restricted to wood turning. Robin is also Chairman of the Heritage Craft Association http://www.heritagecrafts.org.uk, is featured in many television craft programmes, and shares his skills and knowledge with others by running classes in bowl turning and spoon carving. He also writes a very interesting and informative craft blog. http://greenwood-carving.blogspot.co.uk Dave and Lynwen went along to see him tur...
http://www.alexgrigg.com/ | https://twitter.com/alexxgrigg | http://alexxgrigg.tumblr.com/ This tutorial is an update from my first tutorial. This time around I use Photoshop CC and delve into a few more techniques that I've learned while working in production. Adobe Photoshop is a tool that a great number of creative minds are familiar and comfortable with. While it isnt software package that has been built with animation specifically in mind there it has huge potential as an animation tool. The ability to control an aesthetic within the software gives a very hands on feel to the process and endless possibilities for your end result. I hope that this tutorial will help bridge the gap between designer and animator, beginner and professional.

In Nørrestogo Skigard in Valdres, Norway, Thomas Aslaksby teaches in traditional skimaking. The skis are made of birch, using axes, knives and planes. In traditional cultures, the skill of making skis are essential to survive. In our day, it´s a way of connecting to our cultural history, and keeping this ancient knowledge from disappearing. Each pair of skis are made to have the properties you want, like extra wide for downhill skiing in loose snow, or lighter and narrower, for cross country terrain use. Last winter I participated in Aslaksby's ski making class, and documented this great place and experience. This winter I've had the pleasure of putting the skis to use in Saltfjellet, Nordland. I hope you enjoy the video! Music: Pernille Meidell, "Dingo". https://soundcloud.com/meide...

This is basically rotoscoping, but utilizing it in a way that saves time/materials with a focus on hand drawn animation. It's weird, but maybe helpful!
