In Southern Africa, the term Coloureds (also known as Bruinmense or Kleurlinge) is an ethnic label for people of mixed ethnic origin who possess ancestry from Europe, Asia, and various Khoisan and Bantu ethnic groups of southern Africa. Not all Coloured people share the same ethnic background. As a result, Coloured people can possess a variety of different features. Besides the extensive combining of these diverse heritages in the Western Cape — in which a distinctive Cape Coloured and affiliated Cape Malay culture developed — in other parts of Southern Africa, their development has usually been the result of the meeting of two distinct groups. Genetic studies suggest the group has the highest levels of mixed ancestry in the world. However, the maternal (female) contribution to the Coloured population, measured by mitochondrial DNA studies, was found to come mostly from the Khoisan population.
The origins of the Coloured community stems from numerous interracial sexual unions between Western European males and Khoisan females in the Cape Colony from the 17th century onwards.
South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is the southernmost sovereign state in Africa. It is bounded on the south by 2,798 kilometers of coastline of southern Africa stretching along the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans, on the north by the neighbouring countries of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, and on the east by Mozambique and Swaziland, and surrounding the kingdom of Lesotho. South Africa is the 25th-largest country in the world by land area, and with close to 53 million people, is the world's 24th-most populous nation. It is the southernmost country on the mainland of the Old World or the Eastern Hemisphere.
South Africa is a multiethnic society encompassing a wide variety of cultures, languages, and religions. Its pluralistic makeup is reflected in the constitution's recognition of 11 official languages, which is among the highest number of any country in the world. Two of these languages are of European origin: Afrikaans developed from Dutch and serves as the first language of most white and coloured South Africans; English reflects the legacy of British colonialism, and is commonly used in public and commercial life, though it is fourth-ranked as a spoken first language.

Episode 1 of a 6 part webseries discussing Coloured Identity. Kelly-Eve Koopman and Sarah Summers explore what 'coloured' means in Cape Town, South Africa, before embarking on a 1000km Khoi Liberation Walk to reconnect with their indigenous heritage.
We think that these guys including Trevor Noah, who came the closest, are missing a very important point which is that though Khoe and San are Indigenous Africans here since before the mixing started, and that the mixing started with them. The Khoe and San who were essentially not mixed were also automatically classified as Coloured and have become part of that mix so much that now more than 70% of Coloureds are genetically Khoisan. Yes there are mixed-race South Africans classified as Coloured who are Not Khoisan but to overlook the fact that The Majority of Coloureds have a Khoisan heritage is folly to say the least... 3D Horse Colours Songs Collection | Learning Colours For Children Rhymes and Songs Horse Colourful Colour Song For Children Kids 3D Rhymes
This is a story called, When is enough, enough?
When that line is drawn in the sand
and your birthright is more than circumstance.
Well, instead of extending that American helping hand,
Sometimes we extend the iron fist, to brothers and sisters caught in the mix.
Check it out.
Let me kill, a little bit more,
Let me have, a little bit more,
Le me steal, a little bit more,
A little bit more, a little bit more.
You got power, need a little bit more,
How bout people, need a little bit more,
Oh, the police, need a little bit more,
Need a little bit more, need a little bit more.
Let me build a bigger bomb for you, let me build a bigger bomb for me.
Lets blow em all away, Third nations got pay.
Let me build a bigger bomb for you, let me build a bigger bomb for me.
Lets blow em all away, I'll blow them all away
When will it be enough?
(x4)
Let me crush, a little bit more
Let me sell, a little bit more,
Let me rape, a little bit more, A little bit more, a little bit more.
You've got children, need a little bit more, Little babies, need a little bit more,
Your inner soul, need a little bit more, Need a little bit more, need a little bit more.
Let me build a bigger bomb for you, let me build a bigger bomb for me.
Lets blow them all away, Third nations got pay.
Let me build a bigger bomb for you, let me build a bigger bomb for me.
Lets throw em all away, I'll throw them all away.
When will it be enough? When will it be enough?
Gotta have everything. Everything.
When will it be enough? (x18)
It's never enough, oh its never, never
Let me kill, a little bit more
Let me steal, a little bit more
Let me rape, a little bit more
