Abu Dhabi (US /ˈɑːbuː ˈdɑːbi/, UK /ˈæbuː ˈdɑːbi/; Arabic: أبو ظبي Abū Ẓabī Emirati pronunciation [ɐˈbuˈðˤɑbi]) is the capital and the second most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (the most populous being Dubai), and also capital of Abu Dhabi emirate, the largest of the UAE's seven member emirates. Abu Dhabi lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Persian Gulf from the central western coast. The city proper had a population of 1.5 million in 2014.
Abu Dhabi houses federal government offices, is the seat of the United Arab Emirates Government, home to the Abu Dhabi Emiri Family and the President of the UAE, who is from this family. Abu Dhabi's rapid development and urbanisation, coupled with the relatively high average income of its population, has transformed the city into a large and advanced metropolis. Today the city is the country's center of political and industrial activities, and a major cultural and commercial centre, due to its position as the capital. Abu Dhabi accounts for about two-thirds of the roughly $400-billion United Arab Emirates economy.
Gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter (the others being solid, liquid, and plasma). A pure gas may be made up of individual atoms (e.g. a noble gas like neon), elemental molecules made from one type of atom (e.g. oxygen), or compound molecules made from a variety of atoms (e.g. carbon dioxide). A gas mixture would contain a variety of pure gases much like the air. What distinguishes a gas from liquids and solids is the vast separation of the individual gas particles. This separation usually makes a colorless gas invisible to the human observer. The interaction of gas particles in the presence of electric and gravitational fields are considered negligible as indicated by the constant velocity vectors in the image. One type of commonly known gas is steam.
The gaseous state of matter is found between the liquid and plasma states, the latter of which provides the upper temperature boundary for gases. Bounding the lower end of the temperature scale lie degenerative quantum gases which are gaining increasing attention. High-density atomic gases super cooled to incredibly low temperatures are classified by their statistical behavior as either a Bose gas or a Fermi gas. For a comprehensive listing of these exotic states of matter see list of states of matter.

The United Arab Emirates i/juːˌnaɪtᵻd ˌærəb ˈɛmɪrᵻts/ (Arabic: دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة Dawlat al-Imārāt al-‘Arabīyah al-Muttaḥidah), sometimes simply called the Emirates or the UAE, is a country located in the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south, as well as sharing sea borders with Qatar and Iran. In 2013, the UAE's total population was 9.2 million, of which 1.4 million are Emirati citizens and 7.8 million are expatriates.
Established in December 1971, the country is a federation of seven emirates. The constituent emirates are Abu Dhabi (which serves as the capital), Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain. Each emirate is governed by an absolute monarch; together, they jointly form the Federal Supreme Council. One of the monarchs is selected as the President of the United Arab Emirates. Islam is the official religion of the UAE, and Arabic is the official language, although English is widely used.
Fossil fuels are fuels formed by natural processes such as anaerobic decomposition of buried dead organisms. The age of the organisms and their resulting fossil fuels is typically millions of years, and sometimes exceeds 650 million years. Fossil fuels contain high percentages of carbon and include coal, petroleum and natural gas. Other more commonly used derivatives of fossil fuels include kerosene and propane. They range from volatile materials with low carbon:hydrogen ratios like methane, to liquid petroleum to nonvolatile materials composed of almost pure carbon, like anthracite coal. Methane can be found in hydrocarbon fields, alone, associated with oil, or in the form of methane clathrates. The theory that fossil fuels formed from the fossilized remains of dead plants by exposure to heat and pressure in the Earth's crust over millions of years (see biogenic theory) was first introduced by Georg Agricola in 1556 and later by Mikhail Lomonosov in the 18th century.
The Energy Information Administration estimates that in 2007 the primary sources of energy consisted of petroleum 36.0%, coal 27.4%, natural gas 23.0%, amounting to an 86.4% share for fossil fuels in primary energy consumption in the world. Non-fossil sources in 2006 included hydroelectric 6.3%, nuclear 8.5%, and others (geothermal, solar, tidal, wind, wood, waste) amounting to 0.9%. World energy consumption was growing about 2.3% per year.

http://www.healthandsafetyfilms.co.uk - A new employee safety induction DVD for the Oil & Gas industry company Takreer was commissioned in June and filmed from 10-28th November in Abu Dhabi. Five site safety induction DVDs were ordered in total to span the range of the business from an office safety DVD, through to a specific health and safety induction DVD for an oil refinery site. The five UAE safety DVDs for new employees at Takreer will replace their existing Powerpoint induction which was found to be inconsistent and time consuming to deliver. The main advantage of the five new safety DVDs is that each production will address safety policies and procedures specific to each Takreer site; whilst simultaneously creating a consistent safety message for a new employee whether they are a...

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), is a pioneering oil and gas producer whose operations date back to the 1950s, and are centred in the offshore areas of Abu Dhabi. The first oil discovery in Abu Dhabi was made in 1958 in Umm Shaif and the first oil shipment exported from Abu Dhabi to the world market came out on July 4th, 1962 from the same field. Over the years, the Company adopted the latest in drilling techniques and technologies, starting with vertical, then deviated and ultimately horizontal drilling. The...

The prosperity of the United Arab Emirates and its rapid transformation from a backward desert region to one with a booming economy have been made possible by revenue from oil exports. The UAE possesses nearly 10 per cent of the world's total reserves, and there is no doubt that oil will continue to provide the income for both economic growth and the expansion of social services for several more decades at least. In the coming years, natural gas will play an increasingly important role in the UAE's development -- particularly as a fuel source for power generation, petrochemicals and manufacturing industry. The UAE has also taken the initiative in developing an intra-Gulf gas network that could eventually link up with the Indian subcontinent. Early in 2000, the UAE marked the fiftieth anniv...

In January 2008, Masdar and Hydrogen Energy, a joint venture between BP Alternative Energy and Rio Tinto, signed an agreement to work together on the front-end engineering design of an industrial-scale hydrogen-fired power generation project in Abu Dhabi. The plants CO2 will be captured and transported for storage. The plant would be located in Abu Dhabi. Natural gas will be processed to create hydrogen and CO2. The hydrogen fuel would generate low-carbon electricity. Rather than being emitted to the atmosphere, the CO2 will be captured, ready for transportation and injection into a producing oil field where it can replace natural gas currently being injected into the field to maintain pressure. The injected CO2 has also the potential to increase the proportion of Abu Dhabis oil that c...

Megan McCormick ventures into the countries on the Arabian Gulf – Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Oman – an area of ancient of kingdoms that’s synonymous with oil but still one of the most misunderstood areas of the entire world. Megan’s journey begins in the oil fields of Kuwait where she witnesses the devastation caused by the Iraqi invasion of 1990. As the army retreated under the Allied bombardment, Desert Storm, it set alight to dozens of oil fields causing an environmental catastrophe. Visiting its capital, Kuwait City, she finds that the superficial scars of the war have healed; in the city’s souks traditional Arab life continues. However, a meeting with a Kuwaiti prisoner of war on the festive Liberation Day (26 February) reveals that there are still hundreds of Kuwaitis who h...

Well I met the man who killed my mother
He put holes inside her arms
No they were not marks of stigmata lord
Just a drug pumping empty heart
Well I met the man who took my father
Put him in jail and locked him away
Well they say he forgot his children lord
He might remember us again someday
I blame the devil
Well I met the man who killed my grandmother
He took her mind as the shotgun blew
A year later my grandfather followed her
He’d had enough and shot himself too
Well I met the man who took my good friend
Oh, but he was only seventeen
I saw him laying in a cushioned coffin lord
It wasn’t him staring back at me
I blame the devil, what else could it be
I blame Jesus he ain't answering me
Don’t call me depressed, don’t call me sad
I’m giving up on this life I had
Well I met the man who raped my childhood
Oh well we were never young it’s true
But when everyone around you keeps dying lord
What the hell are we supposed to do
Well I met the man who took my sister
In a new family she will stay
And it’s true that my mother’s a sinner lord
She let another family fade away
I blame the devil, what else could it be
I blame Jesus he ain't answering me
Don’t call me depressed, don’t call me sad
