A 41-year-old man is lucky to be alive after his car burst into flames when he crashed near Ravensthorpe on Saturday evening.
WA Police sergeant Andrew Maher said the man had been driving a Holden station sedan at around 7pm, and police believe he was fatigued.
He was driving west on the South Coast Highway, Jerdacuttup, when he lost control over the vehicle and veered off the road.
"[The car] rolled and burst into flames," Sergeant Maher said.
"The vehicle was completely incinerated."
The man escaped the vehicle with only minor injuries, and he was taken to Esperance Hospital for treatment.
