3. Have a free vote in the Parliament for $0...
4. Fund the things that actually matter instead
5. Let loving couples get on with their lives together

And it seems Nick Staikos MP took it quite literally.

Those are the hopeful words of an injured Afghanistan veteran who has finally begun to turn a corner – and we should cherish them.

...Soldiers shouldn't have to feel like strangers in the arms of the very country they served.

Lou Richards' family have accepted our offer of a State Funeral. It will take place at St Paul's Cathedral in the city at 11am on Wednesday.
The service will also be broadcast live in Federation Square.
