Paris (UK: /ˈpærɪs/ PARR-iss; US: i/ˈpɛərɪs/ PAIR-iss; French: [paʁi]) is the capital and most populous city of France. Situated on the Seine River, in the north of the country, it is in the centre of the Île-de-France region, also known as the région parisienne, "Paris Region". The City of Paris has an area of 105 km² (41 mi²) and a population of 2,241,346 (2014 estimate) within its administrative borders essentially unchanged since 1860.
Since the 19th century, the built-up area of Paris has grown far beyond its administrative borders; together with its suburbs, the whole agglomeration has a population of 10,550,350 (Jan. 2012 census).Paris' metropolitan area spans most of the Paris region and has a population of 12,341,418 (Jan. 2012 census), or one-fifth of the population of France. The administrative region covers 12,012 km² (4,638 mi²), with approximately 12 million inhabitants as of 2014, and has its own regional council and president.
Paris was founded in the 3rd century BC by a Celtic people called the Parisii, who gave the city its name. By the 12th century, Paris was the largest city in the western world, a prosperous trading centre, and the home of the University of Paris, one of the first in Europe. In the 18th century, it was the centre stage for the French Revolution, and became an important centre of finance, commerce, fashion, science, and the arts, a position it still retains today.
Radio Paris was a French radio broadcasting company best known for its Axis propaganda broadcasts in Vichy France during World War II.
Radio Paris evolved from the first private radio station in France, called Radiola, founded by pioneering French engineer Émile Girardeau in 1922. It became Radio Paris on March 29, 1924, and remained so through June 17, 1940, transitioning to state ownership in December 1933 as the premier station in the country. It kept its name from July 1940 until August 1944, but the station was then run by Nazis and French collaborators.
From 1940, collaborationist voices on Radio Paris included Jacques Doriot and Philippe Henriot. From 1942, Jean Hérold-Paquis broadcast daily news reports on Radio Paris, in which he regularly called for the "destruction" of the United Kingdom. His catch phrase was "England, like Carthage, shall be destroyed!", echoing Cato the Elder's slogan Carthago delenda est.

Jazz Radio (formerly Fréquence Jazz) is a French radio station dedicated to jazz and soul, and created in 1996.
Jazz Radio is based in Lyon, France and it is broadcasting nationally with around 45 frequencies throughout France including Monaco.
In January 1996 Fréquence Jazz was created by Christophe Mahé (should not be confused with the French singer Christophe Maé) in Lyon on 97.3 MHz, and became the first French jazz station broadcasting around the clock.
In August 1996, a Parisian version of Fréquence Jazz was created named Paris Jazz, but with a different programming. The CSA allows the broadcasting in Paris by sharing broadcast time with Générations on 88.2 MHz, also owned by Espace Group. Paris Jazz broadcast between 14:00 – 19:00 and 23:00 – 07:00. Like Fréquence Jazz in Lyon, its sister station is dedicated entirely to jazz music. In 2002, after 6 years of activity Paris Jazz stopped broadcasting, for unspecified reasons, to let Générations 88,2 broadcast 24/7.
In 2006, Fréquence Jazz starts broadcasting throughout the province in 20 cities, under the name Jazz Radio 2.
Philippe Henriot (7 January 1889, Reims – 28 June 1944, Paris) was a French poet, journalist, politician, and Minister in the French government at Vichy, where he directed propaganda broadcasts. He also joined the Milice part-time.
Philippe Henriot, a devout Roman Catholic, and poet who had written several books of poetry during the early 1920s, became politically active during the Republican Federation, and was elected to the Third Republic's Chamber of Deputies for the Gironde département in 1932 and 1936. He became "a committed member of the Catholic nationalist right". By the mid-1930s his anti-republican prejudices made him a natural opponent of the Popular Front and his speeches showed him to be an anti-communist, anti-Semite, Anti-Freemasonry, and against the parliamentary system. In 1936 General de Castelnau, leader of the FNC, described Henriot as "an ardent defender of religion, the family and society." At the beginning of World War II, he was strongly anti-German. However, in 1941 Henriot began to support Nazi Germany after it invaded the Soviet Union in Operation Barbarossa, as he hoped for the defeat of Communism, believing that Bolshevism was the enemy of Christianity.

Good Morning Paris ! Good Morning Paris ! Good Morning Paris !

Selena Gomez was so nice to the fans who were there to cheer her up for her promotional Revival Tour at NRJ radio station in Paris. She gave a selfie to pretty much everyone except one fan who she had a problem with via social media. She gave her the bad look at some point and had a little explanation at the end…. ACCORDING TO THE FANS: One of the fans allegedly got her hands on Selena's sunglasses from her stylist or dressing room and went on twitter to say she would not give them back until she got tickets, Selena responded that it was very rude and disgusting of the girl. So in the video the same girl gave Selena her glasses back, trying to make up some lame excuse on why she took them, and Selena wasn't having it ( Thanks to the real fans for the explanation ) Paris, France. 28th S...

What can we do to get you on the news ? » V...
