Un-bee-lieveable: truck driver finds himself in a sting

A truck driver has had a near-miss after veering off the road and crashing into a tree in Pinjarra on Friday morning - all because a bee had become trapped in the cab of the vehicle.

The crash happened just after 9.30am at the intersection of Alcoa Road and South Western Highway, when the ISUZU truck left the road and appeared to become wedged under a tree.

Emergency services attended the scene and cut the driver loose, and it is understood he walked himself to the waiting St John ambulance with no injuries.

WA Police Traffic later posted the aftermath of the crash on Twitter and said the driver had become distracted by a bee stuck inside the cab, but he had been saved from further injury thanks to his seatbelt.
