Titusville is the name of several places:
A talking point in debate or discourse is a succinct statement designed to support persuasively one side taken on an issue. Such statements can either be free standing or created as retorts to the opposition's talking points and are frequently used in public relations, particularly in areas heavy in debate such as politics and marketing.
A political think tank will strategize the most effective informational attack on a target topic and launch talking points from media personalities to saturate discourse in order to frame a debate in their favor, standardizing the responses of sympathizers to their unique cause.
When used politically in this way, the typical purpose of a talking point is to propagandize, specifically using the technique of argumentum ad nauseam, i.e. continuous repetition within media outlets until accepted as fact.
The framing of political discourse in terms of simple talking points has been criticized by media personalities such as comedian Jon Stewart for being a superficial examination of issues.
Titusville is a city in Brevard County, Florida. The city's population was 43,761 at the 2010 United States Census, and it is the county seat of Brevard County. Titusville is on the Indian River, west of Merritt Island and the Kennedy Space Center and south-southwest of the Canaveral National Seashore. It is a principal city of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The area was once inhabited by the Ais Indians, who gathered palmetto, cocoplum and seagrape berries. They also fished the Indian River, called the Rio de Ais by Spanish explorers. By 1760, however, the tribe had disappeared due to slave raids, disease and rum. The United States acquired Florida from Spain in 1821. The Seminole Wars delayed settlement.
The community was originally called Sand Point, and a post office was established in 1859, although it closed a few months later. Henry T. Titus arrived in 1867 with the intention to build a town on land owned by his wife, Mary Hopkins Titus, daughter of a prominent planter from Darien, Georgia. He laid out roads and in 1870 erected the Titus House, a large one-story hotel next to a saloon. He also donated land for four churches and a courthouse, the latter an effort to get the town designated as county seat.

Terminating the 30-year Space Shuttle program had significant impact on residents of Titusville, Florida, Located a few miles from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, we filmed just as the program was nearing its end. Dear friends, Last year our niece Ana Maria who works at NASA as a Systems Integration Engineer, got us family passes at Kennedy Space Center to watch the Shuttle launch from one of their closest observation sites reserved for the press and VIPs. It was for the most part an overcast morning, and at the time I wasn't too happy with the footage I had just taken. Now a year later however after examining the footage again, it didn't look too bad for some reason, so I decided to edit it in a short film but adding my own personal touch to it, as most shuttle launches can feel as though the same thing every time. I used the Sony EX1 and the Canon 5DMK2 with a variety of lenses in this project; My in-flight shots were taken with the Canon EF 500mm and a 1.4x extender; keep in mind ...
Welcome to Titusville shows the impact of the 30 year Space Shuttle program on the residents of Titusville, a city that lies only a few miles from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The short film was recently featured by BoingBoing.net and is currently playing on Virgin America's inflight entertainment system.
I recently went to see the shuttle liftoff in Titusville, FL. It was a night liftoff, which are notoriously hard to film/photograph. I shot with my 5D Mark II at 300mm. Thankfully though, we found exposure settings online for still photography (1/125, f/8 ISO400) and translated it to motion. So if you are looking for night shuttle liftoff exposure setting for video/film try these to achieve 180˚ at 30p: 1/60, f/11, ISO400 1/60, f/6.3, ISO320 (Low Gain) or for 180˚ at 24p: 1/48, f/13, ISO400 1/48, f/11, ISO320 (Low Gain) Bear in mind, these are all just calculations. I used the first one, so it has been tried and works, use it if you can set your camera specifically at ISO400.
Me and my brothers built this for kiting, finally got some wind and decided to set it up out in Titusville! Barn Light Electric owner Bryan Scott describes how his passion for taking old barn lights and bringing them back into production in the United States has created a unique company with a loyal following with customers around the globe.
Apologies for the shakiness at times, I just got to the site seconds before the launch and had to run out of my car, pull out my tripod and set up in only a few seconds before the liftoff started. Additionally, someone kicked the tripod while I was trying to track the shuttle in the sky late in the video. I wanted to edit it a little better, but I'm not familiar enough with Final Cut Pro yet.
