Russell Watson (born 24 November 1966) is an English tenor who has released singles and albums of both operatic-style and pop songs. The self-styled "People's Tenor" had been singing since he was a child, and became known after performing at a working men's club. He came to attention in 1999 when he sang the National anthem at the Rugby League Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, "Barcelona" at the last match of the Premiership season between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford and a full set of songs at the final of the UEFA Champions League in Barcelona between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Watson's debut album entitled The Voice was released in May 2001; four others followed. However, an album planned for November 2006 was delayed due to the removal of a benign pituitary tumour. This album, entitled That's Life, was eventually released on 5 March 2007.
On 24 October 2007, it was discovered that there had been a regrowth of his pituitary tumour and bleeding into his brain. He underwent emergency surgery and was discharged from hospital on 31 October. He underwent an extensive rehabilitation programme, including radiotherapy. His sixth studio album, Outside In, was released on 26 November 2007.
On 22 November 2010 Russell's new album, La Voce, was released. It's his first album since overcoming brain cancer

Russell 'The Voice' Watson is a star with a real story to tell. While most stars of today find success early, Russell was still working in a Salford factory at the age of 30. He spent the evenings singing in working men's clubs for extra cash to keep the bailiffs from his family's door. The chairman of Manchester United gave him his big break in May 1999: the opportunity to sing at Old Trafford. His extraordinary performance was quickly followed by a record deal and his phenomenal debut album.Despite his outward success, Russell struggled with his health and family life. His rapid rise to fame led to a bitter divorce from his childhood sweetheart and his private life being splashed across the tabloids. Then last year he was struck down by a life-threatening brain tumour. This plunged Russell into a deep depression and it was only the thought of leaving his two children fatherless that kept him going. Just when it seemed he was fully recovered he collapsed again while recording and had to have emergency surgery on a second brain tumour that threatened his voice, his sight and his life.Now, in his own words, Russell tells us the amazing story of his life.

The musical arrangement has two inspirations- The Swallow Tail Jig (Irish Traditional Music) and Pelagia's Song from the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin (also features in the 2001 album The Voice by Russell Watson); though both pieces are suitably altered for this rendition. Video arrangement was partially inspired by "Video Song"s of Pomplamoose (though we couldn't get video for all of the instruments).
Music is recorded and edited using Sennheiser E835 Vocal Microphone and Pro-Tools M-Powered Essential.
Video is taken with a Nikon D5100 and edited using Pinnacle Studio 14.

"Nella Fantasia" ("In My Fantasy") is a song sung in Italian based on the theme "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film The Mission (1986). With music by composer Ennio Morricone and lyrics by Chiara Ferraù, "Nella Fantasia" is popular among classical crossover singers, and was originally released in 1998 by Sarah Brightman. It has since been covered by various artists.
Origin
"Nella Fantasia" first appeared on Sarah Brightman's album Eden (1998). A music video for the song was released on Brightman's Diva – The Video Collection DVD in 2006 and the song sold 2 million digital copies in South Korea. On the March 1999 video recording of her "One Night in Eden" concert, when introducing the song, she said:

In the liner notes of Eden, the lyricist of the song was named as "Ferraù". However, it has been suggested on the fansite Sarahbrightman.co.uk that the Italian lyrics of the song were written by Brightman herself. It is possible that Brightman wrote the lyrics of the song in English and they were translated into Italian by Ferraù. Confusingly, the liner notes of Brightman's subsequent album The Very Best of 1990–2000 (2001), which also featured the song, state that the composers of the song were Berta Ferraud and Ennio Morricone. It may be that "Berta" is a nickname and "Ferraud" a misspelling of "Ferraù."

The musical arrangement has two inspirations- The Swallow Tail Jig (Irish Traditional Music) and Pelagia's Song from the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin (also features in the 2001 album The Voice by Russell Watson); though both pieces are suitably altered for this rendition. Video arrangement was partially inspired by "Video Song"s of Pomplamoose (though we couldn't get video for all of the instruments). Russell Watson (born 24 November 1966) is an English tenor who has released singles and albums of both operatic-style and pop songs. The self-styled "People's Tenor" had been singing since he was a child, and became known after performing at a working men's club. He came to attention in 1999 when he sang the National anthem at the Rugby League Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, "Barcelona" at the last match of the Premiership season between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford and a full set of songs at the final of the UEFA Champions League in Barcelona between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Watson's debut album entitled The Voice was released in May 2001; four others followed. However, an album planned for November 2006 was delayed due to the removal of a benign pituitary tumour. This album, entitled That's Life, was eventually released on 5 March 2007.
On 24 October 2007, it was discovered that there had been a regrowth of his pituitary tumour and bleeding into his brain. He underwent emergency surgery and was discharged from hospital on 31 October. He underwent an extensive rehabilitation programme, including radiotherapy. His sixth studio album, Outside In, was released on 26 November 2007.
On 22 November 2010 Russell's new album, La Voce, was released. It's his first album since overcoming brain cancer

An original song from a few amateurs. The musical arrangement has two inspirations- The Swallow Tail Jig (Irish Traditional Music) and Pelagia's Song from the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin (also features in the 2001 album The Voice by Russell Watson); though both pieces are suitably altered for this rendition. Video arrangement was partially inspired by "Video Song"s of Pomplamoose (though we couldn't get video for all of the instruments).
Music is recorded and edited using Sennheiser E835 Vocal Microphone and Pro-Tools M-Powered Essential.
Video is taken with a Nikon D5100 and edited using Pinnacle Studio 14.

The musical arrangement has two inspirations- The Swallow Tail Jig (Irish Traditional Music) and Pelagia's Song from the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin (also features in the 2001 album The Voice by Russell Watson); though both pieces are suitably altered for this rendition. Video arrangement was partially inspired by "Video Song"s of Pomplamoose (though we couldn't get video for all of the instruments).
Music is recorded and edited using Sennheiser E835 Vocal Microphone and Pro-Tools M-Powered Essential.
Video is taken with a Nikon D5100 and edited using Pinnacle Studio 14.

Russell Watson (born 24 November 1966) is an English tenor who has released singles and albums of both operatic-style and pop songs. The self-styled "People's Tenor" had been singing since he was a child, and became known after performing at a working men's club. He came to attention in 1999 when he sang the National anthem at the Rugby League Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, "Barcelona" at the last match of the Premiership season between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford and a full set of songs at the final of the UEFA Champions League in Barcelona between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Watson's debut album entitled The Voice was released in May 2001; four others followed. However, an album planned for November 2006 was delayed due to the removal of a benign pituitary tumour. This album, entitled That's Life, was eventually released on 5 March 2007.
On 24 October 2007, it was discovered that there had been a regrowth of his pituitary tumour and bleeding into his brain. He underwent emergency surgery and was discharged from hospital on 31 October. He underwent an extensive rehabilitation programme, including radiotherapy. His sixth studio album, Outside In, was released on 26 November 2007.
On 22 November 2010 Russell's new album, La Voce, was released. It's his first album since overcoming brain cancer

This piece of music is created for the 2012 Special Edition of the popular bengali blog: Kotha to bolar jonyei (কথা তো বলার জন্যেই) [http://kothaspecial.blogspot.in/]
An original song from a few amateurs. The musical arrangement has two inspirations- The Swallow Tail Jig (Irish Traditional Music) and Pelagia's Song from the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin (also features in the 2001 album The Voice by Russell Watson); though both pieces are suitably altered for this rendition. Video arrangement was partially inspired by "Video Song"s of Pomplamoose (though we couldn't get video for all of the instruments).
Music is recorded and edited using Sennheiser E835 Vocal Microphone and Pro-Tools M-Powered Essential.
Video is taken with a Nikon D5100 and edited using Pinnacle Studio 14.
