A man has died in a car crash on the Kings Highway north-west of Batemans Bay.
NSW Police said a car was travelling east along the highway at Nelligen when it left the road and went down a five-metre embankment on Thursday afternoon.
Another motorist raised the alarm and contacted emergency services.
The male driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.
Inquiries into the events leading up to the crash continue.
The incident occurred at 2.50pm and emergency services are at the scene.
Live Traffic NSW reports traffic is affected in both directions, but motorists can pass the incident under police direction.
