Nicholas Edward "Nick" Cave (born 22 September 1957) is an Australian musician, songwriter, author, screenwriter, composer and occasional film actor. He is best known as the frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, established in 1983, a group known for its diverse output and ever-evolving line-up. Prior to this, he fronted the Birthday Party, one of the most extreme and confrontational post-punk bands of the early 1980s. In 2006, he formed the garage rock band Grinderman, releasing its debut album the following year.
Referred to as rock music's "Prince of Darkness", Cave's music is generally characterised by emotional intensity, a wide variety of influences, and lyrical obsessions with death, religion, love and violence.NME described him as "the grand lord of gothic lushness".
Cave has also worked as a composer for films, often in collaboration with fellow Australian musician Warren Ellis. Their films together include The Proposition (2005, based on a screenplay by Cave), The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007), The Road (2009) and Lawless (2012). Cave is the subject and co-writer of the semi-fictional "day in the life" documentary 20,000 Days on Earth (2014).

Wild Roses is a Canadian television drama series, which debuted January 6, 2009 on CBC Television. Originally titled Cowgirls, CBC requested the change to Wild Roses after testing the title. The show was officially cancelled by the CBC on April 22, 2009 after only one season. Reruns of the show are seen during the summer, starting June 19, Friday nights at 9:00 (9:30 in Newfoundland) on most CBC Television stations.
The series focuses on the conflict between the McGregors, a family of wealthy oil developers residing on Montrose Ranch, and the Henrys, a widow and her three daughters living in the neighbouring Rivercross Ranch. Prior to the series, Rivercross used to belong to the McGregors, but was given to the Henrys by the now-deceased head of the McGregor family. The current head of the McGregor family, David, resented this decision and wants to take back Rivercross. Shortly before the beginning of the series, David McGregor provided a loan to the Henrys to help them operate their ranch with the promise to repay $10,000 back monthly. As the series begin, the Henrys have defaulted on roughly $60,000 in monthly payments, and David tries to foreclose on the property.

An outtake from the new Nick Cave film "20,000 Days on Earth”: http://www.20000daysonearth.com/ During the making of our film 20,000 Days on Earth we asked Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to play an intimate club show at Koko in London, a beautiful old Victorian music hall. We wanted to do something special for the fans, so while we were filming the scenes with Nick and Kylie in Brighton he asked her if she'd like to come and sing their infamous duet. Kylie jumped at the chance, and a few weeks later walked out on stage and performed Where The Wild Roses Grow live with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for the first time in 15 years. This moment was such a highlight for everyone who was there that we wanted to share it with everyone." Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard Watch the film trailer: http://youtu.be...

They call you wild rose
I hold you but you're not there
Face pale like snow
It's more that I can bear
A cold wind is blowing
I feel so cold I'm stumbling blind
I can't hear you breathing
I'm lost without you
YOU'RE LIKE THE SUN THAT SHINES ON ME
HOW CAN I EVER BE FREE?
YOU'RE LIKE THE SUN A SPARK IN MY LIFE
TELL ME WHY WILD ROSE OF MINE
They call you wild rose
So close but so far away
Heaven only knows
The eyes that never betray
I can't hear your breathing; feel a cold breeze
Now I am falling, I'm lost without you
YOU'RE LIKE THE SUN THAT SHINES ON ME
HOW CAN I EVER BE FREE?
YOU'RE LIKE THE SUN A SPARK IN MY LIFE
TELL ME WHY WILD ROSE OF MINE
It burns within me, lost in emptiness
The world is spinning around me, spinning around me
If I could turn back the time again - I'd never leave you
If I could turn back the time again - To give you reason
