Fustian is a variety of heavy cloth woven from cotton, chiefly prepared for menswear. It is also used figuratively to refer to pompous, inflated or pretentious writing or speech, from at least the time of Shakespeare. This literary use is because the cloth type was often used as padding, hence, the purposeless words are fustian.
Known in Late Latin as fustaneum or fustanum and in Medieval Latin as pannus fustāneus (‘fustian cloth’) or tela fustānea (‘fustian mesh’), the cloth is possibly named after the Egyptian city of Fustat near Cairo that manufactured such a material.
It embraces plain twilled cloth known as jean, and cut fabrics similar to velvet, known as velveteen, moleskin, corduroy etc. The original medieval fustian was a stout but respectable cloth with a cotton weft and a linen warp The term seems to have quickly become less precise, and was applied to a coarse cloth made of wool and linen, and in the reign of Edward III of England, the name was given to a woolen fabric. By the early 20th century, fustians were usually of cotton dyed various colors.
Boombastic is the third studio album released by Jamaican artist Shaggy. The album was released on July 11, 1995.
The album spawned five singles: "In the Summertime", a cover of a Mungo Jerry classic, "Boombastic", which peaked at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart, at 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 1 on the U.S. R&B chart, "Why You Treat Me So Bad?", the double A-side "Something Different" / "The Train Is Coming", and "Day Oh", which was released as a Japanese only single. "Boombastic" was used as the theme for a 1995 Levi's ad, which was directed by Michael Mort and Deiniol Morris. It was also used in the 2006 and 2007 films, respectively, Barnyard and Mr Bean's Holiday. A cover of "In the Summertime" was re-released for the 1996 film Flipper.
The album won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
The album sold over a million copies in the US, receiving platinum certification, and sold over 300,000 copies in the UK, receiving gold cerification. It peaked at number 34 on the Billboard 200 and topped the 'Top Reggae Albums' chart in the US, and reached number 37 on the UK Albums Chart.
Bonnie Leigh McKee (born January 20, 1984) is an American singer and songwriter. Her debut album, Trouble, was released in September 2004 under Reprise Records. After being dropped by Reprise several years after its release, McKee had taken a musical hiatus before establishing a name for herself as a songwriter. McKee has co-written eight singles that have reached #1 in the United States or the United Kingdom, which have sold more than 30 million copies worldwide combined. After sometime of focusing on songwriting, McKee released "American Girl" in July 2013.
McKee is particularly known for collaborating with pop singer Katy Perry, and the duo have co-written the hits "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," "Part of Me," "Wide Awake," and "Roar" together. McKee also co-wrote "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz, which became the second best-selling song by a British artist in the digital era.
Bonnie Leigh McKee was born in Vacaville, California and raised in Seattle, Washington. She studied classical piano and became a member of the Seattle Girls Choir Prime Voci at age 12, and toured with the choir throughout North America and Europe. She recorded two albums with the choir, titled Jackson Berkey Meets The Seattle Girls' Choir and Cantate 2000. She briefly attended The Bush School, where she recorded a demo as part of a class project, before being kicked out soon after. At age 12, McKee's mother gave a demo CD featuring her singing Bette Midler and Fiona Apple songs to a friend of hers, the co-founder of the Sub Pop label, Jonathon Poneman, who was intrigued by her songwriting talents. According to McKee, this was the moment when she realized she had to be "more than just a singer," but a songwriter as well.

In late 2007, they signed with Oyas Records before signing with Wagram Records in spring 2008.
They released their début single "Décalé Gwada" in June 2008, becoming one of the hits of that summer. Watching every move that I make
Lighting up the sky with their flash bulbs
Shining like a brand new star
