Student Clique bi-monthly photo contest: April/May

Entries open: Monday, April 3.
Entries close: Monday, May 29, 12 noon AEST

What is the Student Clique bi-monthly photo contest?

Student Clique will be running 5 bi-monthly photo contests a year (February/March, April/May, June/July, August/September, October/November). Each bi-monthly contest has a prize package with lots of goodies from our sponsors and Fairfax Media.

Each contest has an open theme and students are asked to select the best photos from their body of work to show off their photographic skills.

If you enter a minimum of three bi-monthly contests, your entries will eligible for the Student Clique Photographer of the Year award.

What are the judge(s) looking for?

In general, the judge(s) will be looking for creative images that display fine skill and technique. The winner will be chosen based on the originality, composition, and photographic technique.

The judge(s) are members of The Sydney Morning Herald or The Age photographic departments. We encourage photos that are in the spirit of photojournalism. The judge(s) want to see photos that tell a story or cover a topic of human interest.

What can I win?

The photographer behind the winning image for April/May will receive:

  • An online interview with a Fairfax Media journalist on their winning image.
  • A $100 Momento Pro digital voucher.
  • A PosterCandy photo collage valued at $49 including express shipping.
  • A $100 Clique voucher to spend at any of our events or workshops.
