Ipoh /ˈiːpoʊ/ (Chinese: 怡保; pinyin: Yí bǎo Tamil: ஈப்போ) is the capital city of Perak state, Malaysia and also one of the largest cities in the country. It is approximately 200 km (125 miles) north of Kuala Lumpur and 130 km (81 miles) south of Penang on the North-South Expressway.
It is bordered by Sitiawan on the west, Cameron Highlands on the east and Tanjung Malim in the south.
Its geographic location in the rich tin-bearing valley of the Kinta River made it a natural centre of growth. It grew rapidly as a mining town, especially in the 1920s and 1930s. A local Hakka miner, millionaire Yau Tet-Shin, started developing a large tract of the city in the early 1930s, today known as the 'New Town', from the eastern bank of the Kinta River to Greentown. In 1937, Ipoh was made the capital of Perak, replacing Taiping.
Ipoh was invaded by the Japanese on 15 December 1941. In March 1942, the Japanese Civil Administration or Perak Shu Seicho was set up at the St. Michael's Institution. After the liberation of Malaya by British forces, Ipoh remained the capital of Perak, till this day.

Malaysia (i/məˈleɪʒə/ mə-LAY-zhə or i/məˈleɪsiə/ mə-LAY-see-ə; Malaysian pronunciation: [məlejsiə]) is a federal constitutional monarchy located in Southeast Asia. It consists of thirteen states and three federal territories and has a total landmass of 329,847 square kilometres (127,350 sq mi) separated by the South China Sea into two similarly sized regions, Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia (Malaysian Borneo). Peninsular Malaysia shares a land and maritime border with Thailand and maritime borders with Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. East Malaysia shares land and maritime borders with Brunei and Indonesia and a maritime border with the Philippines and Vietnam. The capital city is Kuala Lumpur, while Putrajaya is the seat of the federal government. With a population of over 30 million, Malaysia is the 44th most populous country. The southernmost point of continental Eurasia, Tanjung Piai, is in Malaysia. Located in the tropics, Malaysia is one of 17 megadiverse countries on earth, with large numbers of endemic species.
Places to Visit is an Extended Play released by British group Saint Etienne in May 1999. It showed the band moving toward the experimental electronic sound that they perfected on their next official full-length, 2000's Sound of Water.
Originally released in 1999 in the US only on Sub Pop, German label Bungalow released a vinyl version in 2000. The German release included as a bonus track "Garage for Gunther", the B-side to "52 Pilot".
The EP appeared in its entirety on the second disc of the 2009 deluxe edition reissue of Sound of Water, also marking the first UK release of the tracks.
"Sadie's Anniversary" and "Half Timbered" are tracks omitted from the Misadventures Of Margaret soundtrack. Sadie is incidentally the name of the band's longtime backing singer's daughter. Debsey, the backing singer, has been with the band since the early days of them performing live. She is also Sarah Cracknell's sister-in-law.
"We're in the City" is featured in the 1999 film But I'm a Cheerleader.
Kuala Lumpur (/ˈkwɑːləˈlʊmpʊər/ or /-pər/; Malaysian pronunciation: [ˈkwalə ˈlumpʊr]) is the national capital and most populous global city in Malaysia. The city covers an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 1.6 million as of 2010.Greater Kuala Lumpur, covering similar area as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.5 million people as of 2012. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in South-East Asia, in terms of population and economy.
Kuala Lumpur is the seat of the Parliament of Malaysia. The city was once home to the executive and judicial branches of the federal government, but they were moved to Putrajaya in early 1999. Some sections of the judiciary still remain in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. The official residence of the Malaysian King, the Istana Negara, is also situated in Kuala Lumpur. Rated as an alpha world city, Kuala Lumpur is the cultural, financial and economic centre of Malaysia due to its position as the capital as well as being a key city. Kuala Lumpur is defined within the borders of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and is one of three Malaysian Federal Territories. It is an enclave within the state of Selangor, on the central west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Since the 1990s, the city has played host to many international sporting, political and cultural events including the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Formula One Grand Prix. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, which have become an iconic symbol of Malaysia's futuristic development.

On todays adventure myself and Lynee hit some of the best places in Ipoh and the state of Perak. Starting off at Sam pong temple complex, we head through a cave to discover an incredible temple within the cave as well as hundreds of Tortoise's which we then proceed to feed, well I feed them and Lynee starts releasing them all! After exploring the temple complex we head to the haunted Kellie's castle, built by a Scottish chap in the early 1900's the building was never completed due to a series of misfortunate events and is now an abandoned castle which is incredible to walk around. Another very cheap day exploring Malaysia, in total we spent under $20 each and had an incredible day travelling! Ipoh is one of the country’s largest cities, it lies on the west coast of the Malaysian peninsula. It used be called the City of Millionaires referring to the fortunes made during the tin rush. You can see splendid architecture around the Old Town. The best examples are the Court House, the Town Hall, And the Railway Station, dubbed “Taj Mahal of Ipoh”. Nearby the Station Square are the Birch Memorial Clocktower, a popular tourist spot, And the State Mosque. There are not many landmarks in the city center but there are some interesting buildings worth seeing, like: Darul Ridzuan Museum, The Old Federal Building, St. Michael's Institution, And several more. Many Malaysian cities have a large green area in the center. Padang Ipoh is such a place that around it there are couple of his...

Ipoh is the state capital of Perak, on the west coast of peninsular Malaysia. It is the country's fourth largest city and a gateway to the Cameron Highlands. Ipoh (Chinese: 怡保; pinyin: Yí bǎo Tamil: ஈப்போ) developed into one of Malaysia's main cities due to an early 19th century tin mining boom. These days Ipoh is perhaps best known...
