We're continuing our stroll across the music genres, in search of the best, most useable baby names inspired by favourite artists.

Today pop music is having its moment in the sun, as we're looking to the at times light-hearted, sometimes broken-hearted pop artists who once ruled the airwaves, as well as newcomers on the radio right now.

Please allow for some creative interpretation of the genre - there is often lively debate surrounding whether an artist's music belong to one genre of music or another.

There are people here who genuinely traverse different music styles and deserve a mention, as do the one-person monikers like Beyoncé and Madonna (after all, what would a pop baby names list be without Bey?).

The list also includes artists from eras when pop music took a different form to today's pop. You might also find some baby name inspiration in the surnames of listed artists (like Lennox from Annie Lennox and Presley from Elvis Presley).

Make sure to check out our rock 'n' roll, hip-hop and rap and heavy metal and hard rock lists for musical baby name inspiration.
