Carla Zampatti brings back the power shoulder at her spring-summer '17 collection

Attention Working Girls, Carla Zampatti would like you to put on your shoulder pads and take a seat at the table. The designer debuted her spring-summer '17 collection at The Sydney Theatre Company in Walsh Bay (its first fashion show) on Thursday. Highlights included strong shoulders, big sashes and shimmering silks, as well as the designer's signature evening gowns. Zampatti told Fairfax Media that the time seemed right to look to the '80s, "Women started wearing shoulder pads then, they loved a wide shoulder and they still do. It shows a level of confidence and power. That's what I remember from the '80s."
