Switzerland (/ˈswɪtsərlənd/), officially the Swiss Confederation (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica, hence its abbreviation CH), is a country in Europe. While still named the "Swiss Confederation" for historical reasons, modern Switzerland is a federal directorial republic consisting of 26 cantons, with Bern as the seat of the federal authorities, called Bundesstadt ("federal city"). The country is situated in Western and Central Europe, and is bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. Switzerland is a landlocked country geographically divided between the Alps, the Swiss Plateau and the Jura, spanning an area of 41,285 km2 (15,940 sq mi). While the Alps occupy the greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of approximately 8 million people is concentrated mostly on the Plateau, where the largest cities are to be found: among them are the two global and economic centres, Zürich and Geneva.
The establishment of the Swiss Confederation is traditionally dated to 1 August 1291, which is celebrated annually as the Swiss National Day. The country has a long history of armed neutrality—it has not been in a state of war internationally since 1815—and did not join the United Nations until 2002. Nevertheless, it pursues an active foreign policy and is frequently involved in peace-building processes around the world. In addition to being the birthplace of the Red Cross, Switzerland is home to numerous international organizations, including the second largest UN office. On the European level, it is a founding member of the European Free Trade Association, but notably it is not part of the European Union, nor the European Economic Area. However the country does participate in the Schengen Area and the EU's single market through a number of bilateral treaties.
Swiss International Air Lines AG (short Swiss, stylized as SWISS) is the flag carrierairline of Switzerland operating scheduled services in Europe and to North America, South America, Africa and Asia. Its main hub is Zurich Airport, with a focus city operation at Geneva Airport. The airline was formed after the 2002 bankruptcy of Swissair, Switzerland's former flag carrier.
Swiss is a member of the Star Alliance. It is a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, with headquarters at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg near Basel, Switzerland, and an office at Zurich Airport in Kloten, Switzerland. The company's registered office is in Basel. The airline uses the IATA Code LX that it inherited from the Swiss regional airline Crossair (Swissair's code was SR). The ICAO code is SWR, inherited from Swissair (Crossair's was CRX), in order to keep international traffic rights.
Swiss was formed after the 2002 bankruptcy of Swissair, Switzerland's former flag carrier. Crossair had 40% of its income come from the defunct Swissair. The new airline's losses totaled $1.6 billion from startup until 2005. Swissair's biggest creditors, Credit Suisse and UBS, sold part of Swissair's assets to Crossair, the regional counterpart to the transatlantic Swissair. At the time, both Swissair and Crossair were under the same holding company, called SAirGroup. Crossair later changed its name to Swiss, and the new national airline started its operations officially on 31 March 2002. The airline was first owned by institutional investors (61.3%), the Swiss Confederation (20.3%), cantons and communities (12.2%) and others (6.2%). Swiss also owns subsidiary companies Swiss Sun (100%) and Crossair Europe (99.9%). It has a total of 7,383 employees.
The Swiss Army (German: Schweizer Armee, French: Armée suisse, Italian: Esercito svizzero, Romanisch: Armada svizra) operates on land, in the air, and in international waters. Under the country's militia system, professional soldiers constitute about 5 percent of the military and the rest are conscripts or volunteers aged 19 to 34 (in some cases up to 50). Because of Switzerland's long history of neutrality, the army does not take part in armed conflicts in other countries, but it does participate in international peacekeeping missions. Switzerland is part of the NATO Partnership for Peace programme.
The structure of the Swiss militia system stipulates that the soldiers keep their own personal equipment, including all personally assigned weapons, at home (until 2007 this also included ammunition). Compulsory military service concerns all male Swiss citizens, with women serving voluntarily. Males usually receive initial orders at the age of 18 for military conscription eligibility screening. About two-thirds of young Swiss men are found suitable for service, while alternative service exists for those found unsuitable. Annually, approximately 20,000 persons are trained in basic training for a duration from 18 to 21 weeks (increased from 15 weeks, in 2003).
"Slow Wind" is a 2005 single by R. Kelly from his seventh solo studio album TP.3 Reloaded, which is the second sequel to his iconic album known as 12 Play. The song was entirely written and produced by R. Kelly himself. The song is about three and a half minute long and a music video has been made for the song. "Slow Wind" is the fourth single on the album and went on to become a top 30 hit in Germany and also made it at number 30 in the R&B/Hip Hop charts in the US, The remix made it at number 91 in the same chart and was released on R. Kelly's first remix compilation album the same year, Remix City, Volume 1. The remix featured Sean Paul and the R&B singer Akon on the track. No music video has been made for the remix, the remix is about one minuted longer than the original.
The music video is directed by Little X. and features Kelly with Jamaican females.

An Airbus A330 from tail to the cockpit. Final movie: https://vimeo.com/90021080 The take in this making of was not the one we used for the final movie. We only had one hour to get the shot - thats enough time for about 5 takes. One take took about 3 minutes and although it looks fairly easy - it wasn't. We tested different walking techniques and had a thought-out movement for both, the camera and the remote. It looks kind of spacious with the 16mm, but those hallways were super tight, especially going backwards. We shot with a 5DMK3 and a 16-35mm on a BeSteady one (not in follow mode). I photographed Claire in 2003 for my Bubble Bath Book. She was a friend I had met overseas years before. Claire is Swiss. She's shy, classy, and romantic. She reminds me of an actress you would see in a Pedro Almadovar movie. Claire brought over cupcakes, which was sweet of her. Pun intended. This is the beginning of our shoot, leading up to getting in the tub. I like how she explained why she wore red. Spoiler: it was for energy. Bubble Bath Girls is now a collectors item! Besides Claire, there are 37 other women. ~ Andrew https://www.goliathbooks.com/shop/en/collectibles/all-collectibles/goliath-collectible-books/175/bubble-bath-girls

Welcome to Copenhagen, Denmark! This stunning place is also called “The City of Spires,” and after arriving here, you’ll see why. A tour of Copenhagen reveals cobblestone streets, beautiful canals, and many 16th and 17th-century buildings crowned by the aforementioned spires. Don’t let the archaic exterior of these buildings fool you; they house very modern restaurants, theaters, and shops, and you can easily spend days sampling seafood and coffees at the various eateries. One of Copenhagen’s most beloved attractions is Tivoli Gardens, a theme park that dates back to 1843. Watch a pantomime, ride one of the oldest roller coasters, or just enjoy a trip in a dragon boat. After a few hours at Tivoli Gardens, continue your Copenhagen sightseeing in the city proper. Copenhagen is like someth...

The World Before Me is a modern-day round the world trip, set to the words of a 19th century poet. “Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road, healthy, free, the world before me.” 160 years have passed since Walt Whitman penned this text, but feelings about travel remain the same. We’re still inspired by the open road and still excited by discovering the unknown. In the fall of 2015, while preparing for a trip that would take me literally around the world, I couldn't shake the desire to share the experience of travel, which for me is a very personal one. This film is the culmination of that desire. I carried my camera for 5 months through 15 countries. The endless metropolis of Tokyo, tiny islands of The Philippines, busy streets of India, the Swiss Alps and the Scottish Highland...

On Thursdays and Sundays, locals and visitors head to the Mindil Beach Markets to shop, dance and enjoy foods from all over the world. At sunset, head down to the beach as the sun dips into the Arafura Sea, then catch a movie under the stars at the Deck Chair Cinema. Learn about the city’s military history, at the Defense of Darwin Experience and the Australian Aviation Heritage Centre. At the Darwin Museum and Art Gall...
http://www.expedia.com/Kakadu-National-Park.d181601.Destination-Travel-Guides Kakadu National Park is 150 miles east of Darwin, in a region Australians fondly call “The Top End”. World Heritage Listed, Kakadu is almost half the size of Switzerland and is a geological, biological, and cultural wonderland. The park is open year-round, but most visitors come from May to October, when most of the park’s roads are open. You’ll need to set aside a few days to fully explore Kakadu, and once there, the best way to experience the park is by off-road vehicle and on foot. The park has around 25 marked trails, from short walks to multi day hikes. Two of the most popular walks include Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls. Here, at the end of forested gorges, are the sorts of places many dream about, but fe...
This past summer (2013) a friend and I backpacked around Europe for 38 days. We hit 11 different countries and had some life changing experiences that we will never forget. This is the first part of two videos that attempts to recreate our experiences over in Europe to share our adventures and inspire other to get out in the world to create their own. Please follow me if you want to see more, and always remember that getting lost will help you find yourself. Enjoy! Here's the link to part 2: https://vimeo.com/90479962
During Christrmas 2004, my wife and I went rail cruising on some of Switzerland's most scenic routes in the Alps with our new Sony HDR-FX1 camera. Routes include the Bernina Express, Glacier Express, Mont-Blanc Express, Golden Pass Line etc. View from Hotel in St. Moritz. We dedicate this to Chris Harnett and Sue Knight of https://www.MITV.co.uk/ for their inspiration and friendship. Edited by the legendary Don Smith of newsvideo.com. Thanks also to George Drury, author of The Railfan Guide to Switzerland for help in trip planning.

While we had enduro shredder Jonathan Maunsell with us in Switzerland for our recent All Mountain Precept shoot, we figured it was too good an opportunity not to utilize the small Irishman’s skill and speed to test the Precept 200 in the incredibly picturesque setting of the Crans-Montana bike park. The Precept 200 was practically built for the place, it handled multiple laps of the rugged DH tracks with aplomb and begged for more. The results of these multiple laps have been worked in to this short but very sweet video, where Jonathan's riding and the Precept 200 speak for themselves. The Precept 200 (that’s 200mm of travel) is the ultimate bike for first time downhillers, or those on a bit of budget. It takes design cues from the Operator platform and rolls them into a more affordable ...

My hands are dirty, I do it by myself
Filthy dirty, all ten of me
My hands are dirty I do it by myself
With love
(x2)
M.C. Totally Rad, I'm rough and I'm raw
The delicious mind steal(?), the kids all love and adore
Flesh slash a chest gash-head, smashes-me a splash-sling
Slang from my inner like stone at the center
Terminally ill, sick sick sick shit spit it like (cough)(spit)
Check this out, Jesus Christ, What the fuck is that?
Molecules vibrating a hundred and eighty six thousand miles per second
I'm standing still, explosion, frozen, emotions
Stop for animated, smack you cunts back-to-front
Dumb insects getting manipulated by mutants
Like mute ants fluttering around my head
Trying to catch my light, getting zapped by illuminous humans
Papa, why you doing this?
Shut up, I'm just trying to fold this here
Lift up your head sip from the skull
The blood tastes like nectar
I wield the mighty microphone scepter
That my skin is beautifully blue
Come in the water it's lovely allow me to help you to see you
This suffering is a product of your laziness
Life is life, just hustle and bustle
Now here take this sponge
Now wash your skin off your muscles
Wash your muscle off your bone
That's it: Scrub scrub scrub scrub
Goodness grief
What's this strange now bursting up from underneath
Translucent lucid poor little girls
don't let it get to your flesh
Why is Mc Totally Rad, so ridiculously fresh
Neck spread, bliss, rope round neck
now (?)killed, swing, Waddy like your little bro's body
What is it? Looking at me, through your eyeballs
Who are you?
My hands are dirty, I do it by myself
Filthy dirty, all ten of me
My hands are dirty I do it by myself
With love
(x2)
I don't look very nice, without my skin-on
Electronic B-boy
Moths flutter around head.
Rock x-ray goggles
Sucking on a bottle of rap very well
Dropping those
Fantastical Black fairy-tales
Waddy is not real, uh-uh?
Waddy is just a character in this scary dream your busy having
the Enigmatic magnifying glass like focused on unoriginal
dilly-dallies
Run around in a silly panic
Little vandals i saw the end
Don't know what awesome, stand still
Life's ill
why cease to be stuck in mind?
But the circuitry was hurting me
So I unplugged now civilians
Look at me like screensavers
Hey, wipe that look off your face
Like toilet paper, little semen sprayers wanna rock with the demonslayer
Stick my finger in my nose, look what I got, thick black sticky
Sticky bad crystallized snot
My hands are dirty, I do it by myself
Filthy dirty, all ten of me
My hands are dirty I do it by myself
With, love
