EMI

EMI Group Limited (originally Electric and Musical Industries), also known as EMI Music or simply EMI, was a British multinational music recording and publishing company, and electronics device and systems manufacturing company, headquartered in London, England.

At the time of its break-up in 2012 it was the fourth-largest business group and family of record labels in the recording industry and was one of the big four record companies (now the big three). Its record labels included EMI Records, Parlophone, Virgin Records, and Capitol Records. EMI Group also had a major publishing arm, EMI Music Publishing—also based in London with offices globally.

The company was once a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index, but faced financial troubles and $4 billion in debt, leading to its acquisition by Citigroup in February 2011. Citigroup's ownership was temporary, as it announced in November 2011 that it would sell its music arm to Vivendi's Universal Music Group for $1.9 billion, and EMI's publishing business to a Sony/ATV consortium for around $2.2 billion. Other members of the Sony consortium include the Estate of Michael Jackson, Blackstone, and Abu Dhabi–owned investment fund Mubadala.

The Peanuts

The Peanuts (ザ・ピーナッツ, Za Pīnattsu) was a Japanese vocal group consisting of twin sisters Emi Itō (伊藤エミ, Itō Emi) and Yumi Itō (伊藤ユミ, Itō Yumi). They were born in Tokoname, Aichi, (Japan) on April 1, 1941. Soon after the twins' birth, the family moved to Nagoya.

In their early years they sang Japanese covers of standards, foreign hits, and Japanese folk songs; then they began singing originals, written by their producer, Hiroshi Miyagawa, and such songwriters as Koichi Sugiyama and Rei Nakanishi. Later they embarked on a brief acting career, notably in the 1961 film Mothra and Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster. They are first performers of "Koi no Vacance". The pair retired from performance in 1975.. The duo is remembered most for its versions of European songs and for a handful of Japanese pop songs, such as "Furimukanaide" ("Don't Turn Around"). Its performing style played heavily on their being monozygotic twins with voices only slightly apart in timbre (making a duet sound like a solo artist using reverb).

Frank Dukes

Adam Feeney (born September 12, 1983), professionally known as Frank Dukes is a Canadian Grammy Award-winning record producer and songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. In 1999, Frank began DJing and collecting records, which lead him to production. He has since worked with Drake, Eminem, 50 Cent, Travi$ Scott, Danny Brown, Ghostface Killah, Jeremih and many more. He is also known for his work outside hip hop, producing BADBADNOTGOOD's third album, III and writing songs on Charles Bradley's album, Victim Of Love. He has also been sampled many times by producers such as Boi-1da, DJ Dahi, and Tae Beast, for major records by Drake, Wale, Lupe Fiasco, Schoolboy Q and many more.
