W9 is a small area in the north west of Central London. Despite its size, W9 contains four areas - West Kilburn to the west, Little Venice in the south, Maida Hill to the west and Maida Vale to the east. The large stucco houses laid out alongside and across the Grand Union in Little Venice set the tone for the area, although slightly in the shadow of the Westway, with pristine Victorian properties, grand mansion blocks, and picturesque house boats combining to create an attractive neighbourhood well served with bars, restaurants, and specialist shops.
W9's sartorial survival was helped by the Church Commissioners owning and maintaining until the much of the area mid 20th century .When discounted properties came onto the market in the late 1980s, W9's large Victorian mansions were often divided into flat conversions, which kept W9 free from the usual pre-war or inter-war terraces and small semis. Consequently this is an area of mainly flats, with enviable secret gardens now communally owned by the buildings' residents.
Transport is excellent here, with the Westway (A40) out of London to the M40 and into Marylebone and the City. There are 3 Tube stations in the area, Warwick Avenue, Maida Vale and Kilburn High Road. Paddington Station is immediately south of Little Venice with the 15 minute link to Heathrow. Queens Park, on the border with W10, is on the train line coming out of Euston.
Access to this cosmopolitan area is therefore very good making it a destination location for the the discerning purchaser.

Maida Vale

Maida Vale is an affluent residential district comprising the northern part of Paddington in west London, west of St John's Wood and south of Kilburn. It is part of the City of Westminster. The name derives from the Hero of Maida inn which used to be on Edgware Road near the Regent's Canal. The pub was named after General Sir John Stuart who was made Count of Maida by King Ferdinand IV of Naples and Sicily after the victory at the Battle of Maida in 1806. The area is mostly residential, and mainly affluent, with many large late Victorian and Edwardian blocks of mansion flats. It is home to the BBC Maida Vale Studios.
Geography
The Maida Vale area is regarded as being bounded by Maida Avenue and the Regent's Canal to the south, Maida Vale Road to the north east, Kilburn Park Road to the north west, and Shirland Road and Blomfield Road to the south west: an area of around 1 square kilometre (0.4 square miles). It makes up most of the W9 postal district. The southern part of Maida Vale at the junction of Paddington Basin with Regent's Canal, with many houseboats, is known as Little Venice. The area to the south-west of Maida Vale, at the western end of Elgin Avenue, was historically known as "Maida Hill", and was a recognised postal district bounded by the Avenues on the west, the Regent's Canal to the south, Maida Vale to the east and Kilburn Lane to the north. Parts of Maida Vale were also included within this. The name of "Maida Hill" had since fallen out of use, although it has been resurrected since the mid-2000s, through the 414 bus route (which terminates on Shirland Road and gives its destination as Maida Hill) and a new street market on the Piazza at the junction of Elgin Avenue and Harrow Road.

Some Great Reward
Some Great Reward is the fourth studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released in 1984. The album peaked at number five in the United Kingdom and at number fifty-one in the United States. The title comes from the last lines of the bridge in "Lie to Me" when it repeats near the end. The album was supported by the Some Great Reward Tour.
Critical reception
Melody Maker hailed the album, noting a "truly remarkable development in the voice of Gahan". Reviewer Barry McIlheney noted that "[i]t used to be okay to slag this bunch off because of their lack of soul, their supposed synthetic appeal, their reluctance to really pack a punch." He concluded that Some Great Reward "just trashes such bad old talk into the ground and demands that you now sit up and take notice of what is happening here, right under your nose".
NME criticised the album, stating that it "suffers from too many missed grips on good ideas." Reviewer David Quantick found the tunes "ordinary" but he nevertheless rated the singles as "fine". He finally stated that the result was "annoying" and concluded, "Depeche Mode can be one the few acts worthy of the name pop group. It's just that they should be so much better."

Today we are on the Bakerloo line on the stretch from Warwick Avenue station near Little Venice to Kilburn Park via Maida Vale. The line has been extended along this stretch from Paddington to Queens Park in 1915, running through a rather lovely and affluent neighbourhood. Also, the station buildings of Maida Vale and Kilburn Park are rather beautiful. This film starts at Little Venice, from where we take a short walk to Warwick Avenue station. We then watch some trains at the platforms, before we continue our journey towards Maida Vale station. We finally arrive at Kilburn Park station, where it is slowly getting dark outside, making for a lovely contrast with the yellow lighting of the station building. The Bakerloo line uses 1972 Tube stock, the oldest on the Underground still in regular service. Enjoy! Filmed on Tuesday, 22 November 2016.

W9 is a small area in the north west of Central London. Despite its size, W9 contains four areas - West Kilburn to the west, Little Venice in the south, Maida Hill to the west and Maida Vale to the east. The large stucco houses laid out alongside and across the Grand Union in Little Venice set the tone for the area, although slightly in the shadow of the Westway, with pristine Victorian properties, grand mansion blocks, and picturesque house boats combining to create an attractive neighbourhood well served with bars, restaurants, and specialist shops. LU: Old Bakerloo line trains in Little Venice, Maida Vale and Kilburn
Today we are on the Bakerloo line on the stretch from Warwick Avenue station near Little Venice to Kilburn Park via Maida Vale. The line has been extended along this stretch from Paddington to Queens Park in 1915, running through a rather lovely and affluent neighbourhood. Also, the station buildings of Maida Vale and Kilburn Park are rather beautiful. This film starts at Little Venice, from where we take a short walk to Warwick Avenue station. We then watch some trains at the platforms, before we continue our journey towards Maida Vale station. We finally arrive at Kilburn Park station, where it is slowly getting dark outside, making for a lovely contrast with the yellow lighting of the station building. Today we are on the Bakerloo line on the stretch from Warwick Avenue station near Little Venice to Kilburn Park via Maida Vale.
The line has been extended along this stretch from Paddington to Queens Park in 1915, running through a rather lovely and affluent neighbourhood. Also, the station buildings of Maida Vale and Kilburn Park are rather beautiful.
This film starts at Little Venice, from where we take a short walk to Warwick Avenue station. We then watch some trains at the platforms, before we continue our journey towards Maida Vale station. We finally arrive at Kilburn Park station, where it is slowly getting dark outside, making for a lovely contrast with the yellow lighting of the station building.
The Bakerloo line uses 1972 Tube stock, the oldest on the Underground still in regular service.

Located in West London, Maida Vale is primarily a residential district. A part of the City of Westminster, this district of Maida Vale acquired its name from the Hero of Maida. This again is the name of a public house that opened on the Edgware road following the Battle of Maida in 1806. This area is rather affluent with several huge Edwardian mansion houses. One of the largest and most famous mansions in the district is Ashworth Mansions. This predominantly residential district encompasses the Paddington Basin. Marriott Maida Vale Hotel Lounge Review | London, England
When we were in London this year, my parents and I stayed at a hotel that we always stay in when we are in London, England and that is the Marriott Maida Vale Hotel. It has a great location due to it being near very good restaurants and having the Tube Stop be only around a five minute walk from the hotel. Since my dad is an elite member, I only covered the lounge of the hotel which was a pretty decent lounge. There was breakfast service every morning from 6:30 - 10:00 A.M. and throughout the day, you could go up to the lounge and get a small snack and watch TV. There is also a coffee machine that allows you to make : hot chocolate, espresso and other favorites. Little Venice in Maida Vale was named by the poet Robert Browning. When we were in London this year, my parents and I stayed at a hotel that we always stay in when we are in London, England and that is the Marriott Maida Vale Hotel. It has a great location due to it being near very good restaurants and having the Tube Stop be only around a five minute walk from the hotel. Since my dad is an elite member, I only covered the lounge of the hotel which was a pretty decent lounge. There was breakfast service every morning from 6:30 - 10:00 A.M. and throughout the day, you could go up to the lounge and get a small snack and watch TV. There is also a coffee machine that allows you to make : hot chocolate, espresso and other favorites. If you want to read, there is a whole bookshelf filled with books to choose from and have a nice time. If you have a flight the following day, you can get on the computer there and print out your boarding pass or just surf the web freely. Tables along with couches are conveniently set up throughout the lounge as well. a mini-bar is also set up in this lounge were you can get bottles of water to small cans of coke and other sodas and even complementary beer and wine! The lounge closes for the night at 10 P.M. The rooms are also very clean and are not too cramped in. If you are lucky enough to be an elite member, you can get a free upgrade to a suite and I must say those things are spacious! But going back to a typical room in this hotel, you will find it to be a really comfortable room for up to a week!

Little Venice in Maida Vale was named by the poet Robert Browning. The Gothic poet and writer Lord Bryon lived in the area too, along with David Gilmore from Pink Floyd, and Dynasty actress Joan Collins who grew up in Maida Vale.
There's a floating boat market in Little Venice. The markets on the boats sell a range of plants, books and hand-made items.
Charming house-boats, boat cafes, boat art-galleries, bridge cafes and waterside restaurants,swans and weeping willow trees grace the ambient and atmospheric canal areas in leafy and romantic Little Venice. Daily boat-buses travel between Little Venice and Camden Lock, via the London Zoo and Regent's Park.

Despite its size, W9 contains four areas - West Kilburn to the west, Little Venice in the south, Maida Hill to the west and Maida Vale to the east. The large stucco houses laid out alongside and across the Grand Union in Little Venice set the tone for the area, although slightly in the shadow of the Westway, with pristine Victorian properties, grand mansion blocks, and picturesque house boats combining to create an attractive neighbourhood well served with bars, restaurants, and specialist shops. LU: Old Bakerloo line trains in Little Venice, Maida Vale and Kilburn
Today we are on the Bakerloo line on the stretch from Warwick Avenue station near Little Venice to Kilburn Park via Maida Vale. The line has been extended along this stretch from Paddington to Queens Park in 1915, running through a rather lovely and affluent neighbourhood. Also, the station buildings of Maida Vale and Kilburn Park are rather beautiful. This film starts at Little Venice, from where we take a short walk to Warwick Avenue station. We then watch some trains at the platforms, before we continue our journey towards Maida Vale station. We finally arrive at Kilburn Park station, where it is slowly getting dark outside, making for a lovely contrast with the yellow lighting of the station building. Today we are on the Bakerloo line on the stretch from Warwick Avenue station near Little Venice to Kilburn Park via Maida Vale.
The line has been extended along this stretch from Paddington to Queens Park in 1915, running through a rather lovely and affluent neighbourhood. Also, the station buildings of Maida Vale and Kilburn Park are rather beautiful.
This film starts at Little Venice, from where we take a short walk to Warwick Avenue station. We then watch some trains at the platforms, before we continue our journey towards Maida Vale station. We finally arrive at Kilburn Park station, where it is slowly getting dark outside, making for a lovely contrast with the yellow lighting of the station building.
The Bakerloo line uses 1972 Tube stock, the oldest on the Underground still in regular service.
