Ahh, Final Destination. I have a love and hate relationship with you. The first film was a clever and different slasher film by having the killer be an invisible force that can't really be stopped. The second movie in the series is bigger and better, with more elaborate (and violent) deaths and an opening highway death sequence that's one of the best depictions of carnage ever in a horror movie. Unfortunately the next two came along and they weren't great. The third film in the series was the worst one and The Final Destination, the fourth entry, wasn't much better.
Now in 2011, this series redeems itself with Final Destination 5. The team of director Steven Quale and writer Eric Heisserer have put together almost an apology to series fans for the mediocrity of the past films by giving them a Final Destination movie that brings the fun back into the series. It has all the strengths of the first two films in the series along with very few of the flaws that the last two films had. To add to that, the 3D showings present some of the best 3D in a horror film since My Bloody Valentine 3D.
The movie begins as these movies often do by introducing our characters before they get involved in some grisly disaster. This time we follow a group of young successful people all working at the same paper company, on their way to a retreat. Sam (Nicholas D'Agosto) sees a vision of the disaster that is yet to come: the bridge will collapse and there will be no survivors. After this he gets his girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell) and anyone else willing to follow off the bus. When the survivors begin dying, they soon find out Death is after them from the same spooky coroner (Tony Todd) we've seen before. He tells them that there is a way out: if you kill someone, you get their life.
There is one reason a horror fan goes to see a Final Destination film and its to see young people die in nasty ways. After some of the lackluster death sequences in the previous two films, this one is more mean-spirited and it almost gives Death a sense of humor in how he kills these people. The writers know that their audience comes to expect certain deaths so they switch them up a little bit. Without spoiling anything, the deaths you see in the trailer don't end the way you think they do. It drops hints that one thing or another will happen, but then something comes out of left field and all you can do is laugh.
In addition to playing with the audiences' expectations, this film also makes great use of the 3D. The opening credits alone feature such a variety of items (all callbacks to the previous films) flying at the screen with broken glass that one could wonder if that's all there is to it. But no, they throw even more at the screen later. If someone gets impaled, you will see the stick come at the screen with the entrails still hanging on it. If someone gets crushed, a body part will fly at the screen. These aren't spoilers...in a movie like Final Destination 5, it's just a matter of time that these things will happen.

Tony Todd
Anthony Tiran "Tony" Todd (born December 4, 1954) is an American actor, voice artist and film producer, known for portraying Ben in "Night of the Living Dead", both in the 1990 remake and in its 2015 3D remake, Candyman in the horror movie franchise of the same name, William Bludworth in the Final Destination franchise and the Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Early life
Todd was born in Washington, D.C. He grew up in Hartford, Connecticut, and attended local schools. He is also an alumnus of the Artists Collective, Inc. Tony attended the University of Connecticut and then went on to study theater at the Tony Award Winning Eugene O'Neill National Actors Theatre Institute. and Trinity Rep Conservatory.
Career
Film
Todd has appeared in more than 100 theatrical and television films, and has played opposite many major Hollywood stars. His movie credits include: Platoon (1986), Beg (film 2010), Night of the Living Dead (1990), Candyman (1992), The Crow (1994), The Rock (1996), Wishmaster (1997), the Final Destination series (2000–2011), and Minotaur (2006). Todd was the voice of The Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and was also in the Rel Dowdell film Changing the Game. Todd was a special guest of the Weekend of Horror Creation Entertainment on May 23, 2010. and the Screamfest LA. Todd portrayed Reverend Zombie in Hatchet II, which was released in a limited number of theaters on October 1, 2010. As Final Destination 5 returned to the series' roots, Todd returned as William Bludworth.

Final Destination
Final Destination is an American horror franchise that comprises 5 films, comic books and novels based on an unproduced spec script by Jeffrey Reddick, originally written for the X-Files television series. Distributed by New Line Cinema, all five films center around a protagonist that has a premonition of a terrible accident that will kill numerous people. The protagonist and several other people manage to escape from the scene of the accident, before it happens, but are later killed in a series of bizarre accidents that frequently resemble Rube Goldberg machines in their complexity.
The series is noteworthy amongst others in the horror genre in that the "villain" of the movies is not the stereotypical slashers, monsters, aliens, or demons, but Death itself (very occasionally seen as a fleeting shadow), which manipulates the environment with the intent of reclaiming those who managed to escape their fates. With a formidable amount of detail in accident scenes and death scenes, the film series, unlike the vast majority of horror genre films using assassins, monsters or ghosts as enemies, also contradicts others when some of the main characters do not survive after the "adventure".

Final Destination 5
Final Destination 5 is a 2011 American horror film written by Eric Heisserer and directed by Steven Quale. It is the fifth installment of the Final Destination film series. It stars Nicholas D'Agosto, Emma Bell, Miles Fisher, Arlen Escarpeta, David Koechner, and Tony Todd. It was released on August 12, 2011.
Plot
Sam Lawton is on his way to a company retreat with his colleagues. While their bus crosses the North Bay Bridge, Sam has a premonition that the bridge will collapse, killing him and everyone on it, except for his ex-girlfriend Molly Harper, who he manages to get across the bridge safely. In a panic, he persuades Molly; his friends Nathan Sears and Peter Friedkin; Peter's girlfriend Candice Hooper; his boss Dennis Lapman; and co-workers Olivia Castle and Isaac Palmer to leave the bridge before it collapses, killing the remaining people on it. FBI agent Jim Block does not believe that Sam is responsible for the bridge collapse, but promises to keep his eye on him. At the memorial service, coroner William Bludworth mysteriously tells the survivors that "Death doesn't like to be cheated", and warns them to be careful. Believing this to be nonsense, they ignore his warnings and leave.

TMZ
TMZ is a celebrity news website that debuted on November 8, 2005. It was a collaboration between AOL and Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros., until Time Warner divested AOL in 2009. The name TMZ stands for thirty-mile zone, the historic "studio zone" within a 30-mile (50 km) radius centered at the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
TMZ's managing editor is Harvey Levin, a lawyer-turned-journalist who was previously a legal expert for the Los Angeles television station KCBS-TV. The site claims that it does not pay for stories or interviews; however, Levin has admitted that TMZ does "sometimes pay sources for leads on stories". Levin has stated that "everything is researched and vetted for accuracy." A companion television series, TMZ on TV, debuted on September 10, 2007.
Development
Seven months prior to the official launch of TMZ, America Online (AOL) had hinted that it was planning to launch a Hollywood and entertainment-centric news site that would be produced in conjunction with Telepictures Productions and had shown interest in launching a website featuring a focus mainly on celebrities. At the time of the launch, AOL confirmed that the site would primarily feature and consist of Hollywood gossip, including interviews, photos and video footage of celebrities and information pertaining to industry news on movies, television shows, etc. The site was described as "an effort to further feed the current American obsession with celebrities". Mike Shields of MediaWeek.com wrote, "the site also boasts of an expansive collection of archived star photos and videos", allowing fans to "trace changing hairlines and waistlines of their favorites performers over the years".

[BlackTree TV - Los Angeles, CA] Mike Strong talks to the cast of Final Destination 5 for BlackTree TV Ahh, Final Destination. I have a love and hate relationship with you. The first film was a clever and different slasher film by having the killer be an invisible force that can't really be stopped. The second movie in the series is bigger and better, with more elaborate (and violent) deaths and an opening highway death sequence that's one of the best depictions of carnage ever in a horror movie. Unfortunately the next two came along and they weren't great. The third film in the series was the worst one and The Final Destination, the fourth entry, wasn't much better. Now in 2011, this series redeems itself with Final Destination 5. The team of director Steven Quale and writer Eric Heisserer have put together almost an apology to series fans for the mediocrity of the past films by giving them a Final Destination movie that brings the fun back into the series. It has all the strengths of the first two films in the series along with very few of the flaws that the last two films had. To add to that, the 3D showings present some of the best 3D in a horror film since My Bloody Valentine 3D. The movie begins as these movies often do by introducing our characters before they get involved in some grisly disaster. This time we follow a group of young successful people all working at the same paper company, on their way to a retreat. Sam (Nicholas D'Agosto) sees a vision of the disaster that is yet to come: the bridge will collapse and there will be no survivors. After this he gets his girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell) and anyone else willing to follow off the bus. When the survivors begin dying, they soon find out Death is after them from the same spooky coroner (Tony Todd) we've seen before. He tells them that there is a way out: if you kill someone, you get their life. There is one reason a horror fan goes to see a Final Destination film and its to see young people die in nasty ways. After some of the lackluster death sequences in the previous two films, this one is more mean-spirited and it almost gives Death a sense of humor in how he kills these people. The writers know that their audience comes to expect certain deaths so they switch them up a little bit. Without spoiling anything, the deaths you see in the trailer don't end the way you think they do. It drops hints that one thing or another will happen, but then something comes out of left field and all you can do is laugh. In addition to playing with the audiences' expectations, this film also makes great use of the 3D. The opening credits alone feature such a variety of items (all callbacks to the previous films) flying at the screen with broken glass that one could wonder if that's all there is to it. But no, they throw even more at the screen later. If someone gets impaled, you will see the stick come at the screen with the entrails still hanging on it. If someone gets crushed, a body part will fly at the screen. These aren't spoilers...in a movie like Final Destination 5, it's just a matter of time that these things will happen. http://www.blacktree.tv A BlackTree Media Production Thank you for watching! Ahh, Final Destination. I have a love and hate relationship with you. The first film was a clever and different slasher film by having the killer be an invisible force that can't really be stopped. The second movie in the series is bigger and better, with more elaborate (and violent) deaths and an opening highway death sequence that's one of the best depictions of carnage ever in a horror movie. Unfortunately the next two came along and they weren't great. The third film in the series was the worst one and The Final Destination, the fourth entry, wasn't much better.
Now in 2011, this series redeems itself with Final Destination 5. The team of director Steven Quale and writer Eric Heisserer have put together almost an apology to series fans for the mediocrity of the past films by giving them a Final Destination movie that brings the fun back into the series. It has all the strengths of the first two films in the series along with very few of the flaws that the last two films had. To add to that, the 3D showings present some of the best 3D in a horror film since My Bloody Valentine 3D.
The movie begins as these movies often do by introducing our characters before they get involved in some grisly disaster. This time we follow a group of young successful people all working at the same paper company, on their way to a retreat. Sam (Nicholas D'Agosto) sees a vision of the disaster that is yet to come: the bridge will collapse and there will be no survivors. After this he gets his girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell) and anyone else willing to follow off the bus. When the survivors begin dying, they soon find out Death is after them from the same spooky coroner (Tony Todd) we've seen before. He tells them that there is a way out: if you kill someone, you get their life.
There is one reason a horror fan goes to see a Final Destination film and its to see young people die in nasty ways. After some of the lackluster death sequences in the previous two films, this one is more mean-spirited and it almost gives Death a sense of humor in how he kills these people. The writers know that their audience comes to expect certain deaths so they switch them up a little bit. Without spoiling anything, the deaths you see in the trailer don't end the way you think they do. It drops hints that one thing or another will happen, but then something comes out of left field and all you can do is laugh.
In addition to playing with the audiences' expectations, this film also makes great use of the 3D. The opening credits alone feature such a variety of items (all callbacks to the previous films) flying at the screen with broken glass that one could wonder if that's all there is to it. But no, they throw even more at the screen later. If someone gets impaled, you will see the stick come at the screen with the entrails still hanging on it. If someone gets crushed, a body part will fly at the screen. These aren't spoilers...in a movie like Final Destination 5, it's just a matter of time that these things will happen.

Kings of Horror presents: Dead of the Nite
When a group of internet sensation ghost hunters are found brutally slaughtered in the infamous Jericho Manor, Police Detectives Jenkins (GARY MAVERS) and Anderson (JOSEPH MILLSON) must piece together what happened on the fatal night by viewing the paranormal investigators video footage. With the only witness being the secretive caretaker (TONY TODD) claiming it was the ghost of killer Jeffery Heath, will the detectives discover more than they had bargained for? From ghostly happenings to breath-taking action thanks to stunt co-ordinator CLAUDIO PACIFICO (MI:III, Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Gang of New York), DEAD OF THE NITE will have audiences on the edge of their seat and guessing until the very end as to who, or what is slaughtering the team, and usher in the new dawn of 'psychological slashers'.

Ahh, Final Destination. I have a love and hate relationship with you. The first film was a clever and different slasher film by having the killer be an invisible force that can't really be stopped. The second movie in the series is bigger and better, with more elaborate (and violent) deaths and an opening highway death sequence that's one of the best depictions of carnage ever in a horror movie. Unfortunately the next two came along and they weren't great. The third film in the series was the worst one and The Final Destination, the fourth entry, wasn't much better.
Now in 2011, this series redeems itself with Final Destination 5. The team of director Steven Quale and writer Eric Heisserer have put together almost an apology to series fans for the mediocrity of the past films by giving them a Final Destination movie that brings the fun back into the series. It has all the strengths of the first two films in the series along with very few of the flaws that the last two films had. To add to that, the 3D showings present some of the best 3D in a horror film since My Bloody Valentine 3D.
The movie begins as these movies often do by introducing our characters before they get involved in some grisly disaster. This time we follow a group of young successful people all working at the same paper company, on their way to a retreat. Sam (Nicholas D'Agosto) sees a vision of the disaster that is yet to come: the bridge will collapse and there will be no survivors. After this he gets his girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell) and anyone else willing to follow off the bus. When the survivors begin dying, they soon find out Death is after them from the same spooky coroner (Tony Todd) we've seen before. He tells them that there is a way out: if you kill someone, you get their life.
There is one reason a horror fan goes to see a Final Destination film and its to see young people die in nasty ways. After some of the lackluster death sequences in the previous two films, this one is more mean-spirited and it almost gives Death a sense of humor in how he kills these people. The writers know that their audience comes to expect certain deaths so they switch them up a little bit. Without spoiling anything, the deaths you see in the trailer don't end the way you think they do. It drops hints that one thing or another will happen, but then something comes out of left field and all you can do is laugh.
In addition to playing with the audiences' expectations, this film also makes great use of the 3D. The opening credits alone feature such a variety of items (all callbacks to the previous films) flying at the screen with broken glass that one could wonder if that's all there is to it. But no, they throw even more at the screen later. If someone gets impaled, you will see the stick come at the screen with the entrails still hanging on it. If someone gets crushed, a body part will fly at the screen. These aren't spoilers...in a movie like Final Destination 5, it's just a matter of time that these things will happen.
