On our trip in New Zealand we drove from the top to the bottom of New Zealand, and saw all sorts of incredible things and met some amazing people! We even managed to find a place that sold Korean snacks, and so we thought that it'd be rude to not give those snacks to the new Kiwi friends that we met along the journey. :)

The commander of U.S. Special Operations forces says his troops are ready to strike North Korea's key weapons facilities if a crisis breaks out on the Korean peninsula.
Kim Jung-soo has more on the comments made following Washington's second successful ICBM test in a week.
U.S. Army General Raymond Thomas, commander of the U.S. Special Command, said that American special operations forces are fully prepared to conduct an "entire range of contingency operations" against North Korea in a conflict situation.
General Thomas was testifying before a congressional subcommittee on Tuesday, but did not give details about the kinds of operations he was referring to.
According to American online news site Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday, the troops would be responsible for locating and destroying North Korean nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems, such as mobile missile launchers.
According to the Beacon, there are over 8-thousand U.S. special operations forces members stationed in nearly 80 countries worldwide.
The last rotational deployment of the special operations forces to South Korea occurred back in February,... when parts of the 1st Special Forces Group and the 75th Ranger Regiment participated in training drills with their South Korean counterparts.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Air Force has confirmed that it conducted a successful test of a land-based intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday, just one week after a previous test on April 26th.
The missile was fired from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
Like the previous test, this one involved the Minuteman III, a solid-fuel powered ICBM that can cover a maximum distance of 13-thousand kilometers and can reach Pyongyang in just 30 minutes.
The missile was equipped with a dummy warhead, just as in the previous test, and flew some six-thousand kilometers before hitting its target in the Pacific Ocean.
Despite speculation that the recent tests were intended as a warning to Pyongyang, the U.S. military maintains that the tests are routine... and designed to test the effectiveness of the weapon.

With one of the lowest birth rates in the world, South Korea is in danger of disappearing by the end of the millennium. If the situation stays as it is, South Koreans are predicted to become extinct by 2750. Because of the rapidly aging population, elderly prostitutes known as "Bacchus ladies" have cornered a number of public parks as their working areas. Meanwhile, South Korean kids are living with their families well into their 20s—as a result, an entire economy of sex motels has sprung up to give kids a place to fool around outside the watchful eyes of their parents.
We sent Matt Shea to investigate this generational crisis, which led him to Seoul's red-light district, a pre-wedding photo shoot on the set of a Korean soap opera, and an erotic sculpture park on South Korea's "honeymoon island."

listen), officially the Republic of Korea (Hangul: 대한민국; hanja: 大韓民國; RR: Daehanminguk, listen) and commonly referred to as Korea, is a sovereign state in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. The name Korea is derived from the ancient Kingdom of Goguryeo, also known as Koryŏ. Highly urbanized at 92%, Koreans lead a distinctive urban lifestyle with half of them living in the Seoul Capital Area, the world's second largest city with over 25 million residents and a leading global city with the fourth largest economy, rated in 2016 as the world's most livable megacity and safest city to live in. Highly mountainous, Korea is a popular winter sport destination in Asia, hosting the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The earliest Korean pottery dates to 8000 BC, with three kingdoms flourishing at 1st century BC. One of them, Goguryeo, ruled Northeast China, parts of Russia and Mongolia under Gwanggaeto the Great. Since their unification into Silla and Balhae in the 7th century, Korea enjoyed over a millennium of relative tranquility under long lasting dynasties with innovations like Hangul, the unique alphabet created by Sejong the Great in 1446, enabling anyone to easily learn to read and write. Its rich and vibrant culture left 17 UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity, the third largest in the world, along with 12 World Heritage Sites. Korea was annexed by Imperial Japan in 1910 due to its strategic and central location, after whose surrender in 1945, it was divided into North and South Korea. A North Korean invasion lead to the Korean War (1950–53). Peace has since mostly continued with the two agreeing to work peacefully for reunification and the South solidifying peace as a regional power with the world's 10th largest defence budget and strong global alliances. In 2016, Korea was rated as the world's safest country to live in, with the lowest crime rate.

North Korea ( listen), officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK; Chosŏn'gŭl: 조선민주주의인민공화국; hancha: 朝鮮民主主義人民共和國; MR: Chosŏn Minjujuŭi Inmin Konghwaguk), is a country in East Asia, in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. The name Korea is derived from the Kingdom of Goguryeo, also spelled as Koryŏ. The capital and largest city is Pyongyang. North Korea shares a land border with China to the north and northwest, along the Amnok (Yalu) and Tumen rivers, and a small section of the Tumen River also forms a border with Russia to the northeast. The Korean Demilitarized Zone marks the boundary between North Korea and South Korea.
Korea was annexed by the Empire of Japan in 1910. After the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II in 1945, Korea was divided into two zones by the United States and the Soviet Union, with the north occupied by the Soviets and the south by the Americans. Negotiations on reunification failed, and in 1948 two separate governments were formed: the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the north, and the Republic of Korea in the south. An invasion initiated by North Korea led to the Korean War (1950–53). Although the Korean Armistice Agreement brought about a ceasefire, no official peace treaty was ever signed. Both states were accepted into the United Nations in 1991.

The commander of U.S. Special Operations forces says his troops are ready to strike North Korea's key weapons facilities if a crisis breaks out on the Korean peninsula.
Kim Jung-soo has more on the comments made following Washington's second successful ICBM test in a week.
U.S. Army General Raymond Thomas, commander of the U.S. Special Command, said that American special operations forces are fully prepared to conduct an "entire range of contingency operations" against North Korea in a conflict situation.
General Thomas was testifying before a congressional subcommittee on Tuesday, but did not give details about the kinds of operations he was referring to.
According to American online news site Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday, the troops would be responsible for locating and destroying North Korean nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems, such as mobile missile launchers.
According to the Beacon, there are over 8-thousand U.S. special operations forces members stationed in nearly 80 countries worldwide.
The last rotational deployment of the special operations forces to South Korea occurred back in February,... when parts of the 1st Special Forces Group and the 75th Ranger Regiment participated in training drills with their South Korean counterparts.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Air Force has confirmed that it conducted a successful test of a land-based intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday, just one week after a previous test on April 26th.
The missile was fired from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
Like the previous test, this one involved the Minuteman III, a solid-fuel powered ICBM that can cover a maximum distance of 13-thousand kilometers and can reach Pyongyang in just 30 minutes.
The missile was equipped with a dummy warhead, just as in the previous test, and flew some six-thousand kilometers before hitting its target in the Pacific Ocean.
Despite speculation that the recent tests were intended as a warning to Pyongyang, the U.S. military maintains that the tests are routine... and designed to test the effectiveness of the weapon.

According to the Beacon, there are over 8-thousand U.S. special operations forces members stationed in nearly 80 countries worldwide.
The last rotational deployment of the special operations forces to South Korea occurred back in February,... when parts of the 1st Special Forces Group and the 75th Ranger Regiment participated in training drills with their South Korean counterparts.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Air Force has confirmed that it conducted a successful test of a land-based intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday, just one week after a previous test on April 26th.
The missile was fired from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
Like the previous test, this one involved the Minuteman III, a solid-fuel powered ICBM that can cover a maximum distance of 13-thousand kilometers and can reach Pyongyang in just 30 minutes.
The missile was equipped with a dummy warhead, just as in the previous test, and flew some six-thousand kilometers before hitting its target in the Pacific Ocean.
Despite speculation that the recent tests were intended as a warning to Pyongyang, the U.S. military maintains that the tests are routine... and designed to test the effectiveness of the weapon.

According to American online news site Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday, the troops would be responsible for locating and destroying North Korean nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems, such as mobile missile launchers.
According to the Beacon, there are over 8-thousand U.S. special operations forces members stationed in nearly 80 countries worldwide.
The last rotational deployment of the special operations forces to South Korea occurred back in February,... when parts of the 1st Special Forces Group and the 75th Ranger Regiment participated in training drills with their South Korean counterparts.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Air Force has confirmed that it conducted a successful test of a land-based intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday, just one week after a previous test on April 26th.
The missile was fired from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
Like the previous test, this one involved the Minuteman III, a solid-fuel powered ICBM that can cover a maximum distance of 13-thousand kilometers and can reach Pyongyang in just 30 minutes.
The missile was equipped with a dummy warhead, just as in the previous test, and flew some six-thousand kilometers before hitting its target in the Pacific Ocean.
Despite speculation that the recent tests were intended as a warning to Pyongyang, the U.S. military maintains that the tests are routine... and designed to test the effectiveness of the weapon.

The commander of U.S. Special Operations forces says his troops are ready to strike North Korea's key weapons facilities if a crisis breaks out on the Korean peninsula.
Kim Jung-soo has more on the comments made following Washington's second successful ICBM test in a week.
U.S. Army General Raymond Thomas, commander of the U.S. Special Command, said that American special operations forces are fully prepared to conduct an "entire range of contingency operations" against North Korea in a conflict situation.
General Thomas was testifying before a congressional subcommittee on Tuesday, but did not give details about the kinds of operations he was referring to.

Meanwhile, South Korean kids are living with their families well into their 20s—as a result, an entire economy of sex motels has sprung up to give kids a place to fool around outside the watchful eyes of their parents.
We sent Matt Shea to investigate this generational crisis, which led him to Seoul's red-light district, a pre-wedding photo shoot on the set of a Korean soap opera, and an erotic sculpture park on South Korea's "honeymoon island."
