I am having a tuna and cheese toastie for lunch from a new sandwich place n near work. Possibly the most exciting part my day.

How the fuck do people still think cats are a good pet in 2018? Dogs actually demonstrate affection and come to you when you call them. Sure you might have to deal with the occasional massive poo, but it's better than living with animals that are as dumb and unco-operative as rabbits and are indifferent to your general existence. What the fuck is wrong with cat people?

Pretty sure it depends on the cat. Some are super friendly and cuddly. Just like dogs, and people who post on reddit, can be assholes.

Flatmates.com.au or the fairy floss group on Facebook might have shareholders options. Not sure if there's many corporate rentals around...

Banjo has been such a good sleeper since we brought him home, if not sleeping has always been silent through the night. At night has access to water, toilet, food (if he didn't finish his dinner), and has always occupied himself, given us a restful sleep.

But last night, he was up at midnight barking like a madman because the sensor light was triggered. And then again at 2am, he was just full of beans, chewing the skirting boards, the corner of our bed frame (in hindsight, we shouldn't have bought an upholstered bed frame just before a puppy but c'est la vie), chewing his squeaky toy loudly, jumping up on the bed, and he wouldn't settle until 3:30am.

I'm dead tired, and have a big important client meeting today, fuck you you adorable little asshole.

It's amazing how much of a difference to your quality of life a big kitchen makes

It was my first priority when looking for a place! I really enjoy cooking and didn't want somewhere that was too small.

More inspections for rentals. SO BORING.

recently received a letter from the USA tax office (IRS) saying we owed $52k usd in taxes for 2017. Hire a tax lawyer in Sydney to handle and they redo our taxes. Turns out we missed one transaction of selling stock and we actually owe $28 usd. Yes $28.00. After interest and penalties it is $56. We went from a $52,000 tax bill to a $56 tax bill. And the IRS requires payment by check.

Are Jimmy Choos shoes really that good? Why it gets the cult status?

Well made but narrow shoes. Cult status because they're well made and expensive and maybe a little because they were on sex and the city.

Looking at rental listings. Why is renting an apartment in Melbourne so much more expensive than renting a house when living in an apartment is inarguably and undeniably shittier than living in a house? Is it "the amazing views"?

What suburbs are you looking where houses are cheaper than an apartment? What are the quality of the houses?

When I had my house hunt earlier in the year I found it frustrating to use the weekly rent as a guide. Some of the dumps I inspected were baffling - like you want me to pay that much to live here?

2 points · 23 days ago

Yeah, we're looking it paying at least 50 bucks a week more in rent and it's still depressing.
