Hey guys, Wondering if there's any engineering students or grads that I can talk to about uni experience and units. I'm going to transfer over from VU, I've just completed my first year. Would be even better if any transfer students were reading this!

Found some guy on whirlpool that is in the exact same situation as me but his account is inactive.

Thanks!

I am a master in marketing student, completed my 2nd sem. I am afraid that I might fail one of my core subjects, a prerequisite i. e. Marketing management. My 3rd sem classes will begin in feb. I just want to know that if I fail the subject, will I have to repeat the whole subject again?
Is it possible that I can take 5 subjects in 3rd sem like 4 sub+1failed one? Also, I am an on campus international student, is it possible that if I fail, I complete that subject online during break in nov-feb

I got an offer at RMIT and after reading online reviews, there are a few concerning statements of how the faculty isn't supportive and there is very less student support. I got an offer for a Bachelor of Science degree, is RMIT really that bad?

I'm taking my first Software Engineering elective next semester and I'm considering between Rapid Application Development and Database Systems. Has anyone studied these two courses? What are they like (content, assignments, ...)? Thanks!

It's aproaching the end of year and I still have a ridiculous amount of printing credit left. I'm wondering if there's somewhere within RMIT where I can use this credit to print some posters or somthing?

I have applied to Masters program for semester Feb 2019, on Sep 24 and the application still shows "Submitted" with no updates. I submitted a ticket and received a reply that it will take around 3-4 weeks.

Hey guys, in year 12 right now looking to do industrial design next year. Just wanted to know what's the course like at RMIT. I like to be very hands on, and especially enjoy using softwares (CAD and what not). Would RMIT be right for me? Also I've heard that despite RMIT having a good reputation in design, they some what neglect the industrial design department. Is that true? Any info is welcome, especially if you've done industrial design at multiple universities.

Thanks

I'm interested in this course at RMIT, but there's no student reviews about it online. Could someone help me out with how the physics department at RMIT is?

Hi, all....

I’m taking B.Eng Mech Eng, and i see that this program require me to enrol into three “University Electives” courses. I’ve completed one out of those three.

And for those two remaining elective courses, is it actually allowed to enrol into any two courses listed in the 4th year’s “Mechanical Options” courses instead of enrolling in any two courses listed in the “University Electives” courses ??

If i do that, it means, later i’ll do 4 “Mechanical Options” courses, instead of doing 2 “Mechanical Options” courses + 2 “University Electives” courses. Is this actually allowed ??

Thank you for your time...

Does rmit have any moderation for the modules? Am currently studying in rmit-sim, will the markings be marked by our own Lecturers or by the Aussie’s?

Feeling quite worried as recently I’ve just ended my final exams for my first semester in university. Marketing principles was hard thus I feel like I may fail. The past 2 assignments, MCQ I’ve gotten 15/20 but for the group project I think it pulled me down a lot, 17/30. I need 18 marks to pass and I’m not sure if I can attain that score to pass for final exams.

Therefore I want to ask if the cohort did badly, will they moderate the marks? And isit easy to fail a module despite studying for it? ( exam questions was very different )

I really do not want to retake a module because of financial problems and just want to clear it through even if it’s just 50/100.

Hi RMIT folks

Just about to enter my last two semesters of the BP162 program. Was hoping to reach out to anyone who has completed this, and if they have any advice or tips for these upcoming courses/year.

Thanks,

I've heard some really good things about Urban Planning, with the Urban Design part really standing out for me. The employment prospects look great, and you get a paid placement during your last year at RMIT.

But I also want to look at doing Fine Arts instead - Urban Planning isn't exactly my dream job. I've missed the application for VCA, but I've done the application for RMIT. Could someone fill me in on the Fine Art Bachelor's Degree at RMIT, so I can choose between a stable, well paying career or a risky life as an artist?

I'm considering applying for the Business Management degree next year at RMIT.

I've heard some mixed reviews about the degree, does anyone have any insights?

I'm hoping to do an easy elective (probably online - since i'm away for december and part of january). I found a few courses - Intro to Business, Intro to Management and Forensic Studies. Favouring towards Management or Forensic studies but i need second opinions. I just wanna get the elective done and get those credit points.

EDIT: also wanted to add intro to Psychology too

I'm an international student doing Bachelor of Business and my goal is to find work here after I graduate and I know getting a local internship would help me heaps. Just wanted to know if anyone has done the internship elective and how was it overall. I'm worried finding work placement will be tough cause although my WAM is above 65 and I don't know if that's good enough in this competitive world. Also would like to know the whole enrolment process as that's still a bit fuzzy to me

I'm a year 12 student with an interest in composition and production - long story short the schools I went/go to didn't offer much in the way of music education and I could never afford lessons, so I don't really have the portfolio or money to get into private uni's like Collarts.

Is this course any good and worth undertaking for 3 years? Do you find the course gives you employable skills?

P.s I've spent 6 years learning off books and YouTube and really need proper guidance and other people to learn off, so don't just reply "YouTube" as a solution

I'm posting previous practice exams & tutorial solutions. Majority of class failing - which is an unflattering norm despite being a foundational subject in CS. If anyone would like to share more recent CT exam practice papers, or has any advice or content for future / current CT students, please post here.

Graduating this year and I know that there are four tickets included in the price. I have four people plus myself that I want to take. Does this mean I have to purchase another ticket or do I not need one since I'm the one graduating?

Thanks

Applying for PG in Project Management at RMIT. I'm an international student (engineering graduate+ 3 years of work experience). How would you rate the program? Scope of employment after graduation? Scholarships? Looking for guidance, suggestions and information. Thanks in advance.
