I've never driven to La Trobe but I might have to since my exam starts at 9 am and there's no way I'll get there on time with public transport. How and where do I pay for a ticket for one day of parking? Is it just like a normal parking area? Where do I go?

I'm looking to apply to the Master of Buisness Analytics next semester, upon reading the page there are no specified entry requirements. As I'm a current under graduate at La trobe with a mediocre WAM (65.73) will I have a chance on getting in? Or are they strict with their selection.

Questions regarding La Trobe University Life
Hi, I am an international student planning to transfer and study Computer Science in La Trobe University probably in 2019 Feb (Year 2) and have a few questions regarding the uni life.
- How is the party life here? I'm planning to get a dorm for 1st year or so and then plan to move out. I like being social and I like parties so was wondering whats the scene over here.
- how hard is it to make friends? My main concorn is that I might be in year2/year3 depending on the credits transfered. So how hard would it be to make friends?
- Also what dorm would be best for an international student?
- Which Campus would be best suitable for me? I like beaches, open spaces but wouldn't mind crowded city areas as well as I'm from Hong Kong. I guess a more sociable environment and a campus with more things to do would be best suitable for me as I like going out a lot but have my living under the rock days too.
- Lastly, how is the comp sci course specifically the security major as im transferring from HK uni and will probably be continuing that.
Any advice is welcome.

I Just started my Bachelor of Cybersecurity at Bundoora and was hoping I could get some tips or advice about Uni life? Or the La Trobe campus in general. The place is massive what should I explore? What's your favorite coffee shop? Food? Etc.

So this is probably kind of reach considering how inactive this subreddit appears to be but yesterday I left my laptop in ED2-p107 (that’s what room my timetable said I was in). I’ve been to security, emailed my tutor and back to the room but it hasn’t shown up. This is just kind of a last ditch effort, if anyone has seen it would you kindly mind sending me a pm.

I know this sub isn't very active but a mate of mine and myself were looking to join a club or Society. We missed the club fest today but we want suggestions for clubs that are pretty social, have frequent parties or meet ups and aren't too niche. Love all your suggestions!

I created this subreddit many years ago during the waning years of my undergrad studies, and after a prolonged period overseas, I have returned to La Trobe to do postgrad.
I am thinking of inviting someone from the student union on board to help keep things updated up in here, if anybody has any thoughts about this please do share.
In the meantime, as a gift to those to who stuck it out through the many dark, lonely days of /r/Latrobe, y'all should have a look at this.

I run high school robotics competitions across Victoria and we are currently looking for volunteers to help out at events. We are running both the VEX Turning Point and VEX Next level for students. We are in need of volunteers to help referee matches and help with managing the tournaments. These events can be a very rewarding experience for every one involved. If volunteering is not your thing we are also starting a university division for VEX Turning Point. we have several teams planning to attend the Australian Nationals this year in Melbourne already.

Has anyone taken it/ know people that have taken it? I'm a current undergrad studying Computer Science (in the US) and want to work in analytics for an NBA or AFL team. It's the only degree of its kind in Australia, which is pretty cool. Thanks!

I recently received an email from Academic Integrity for an academic misconduct. I self-plagiarised my piece of work and now I have a hearing in 2 weeks. I emailed them apologising. Anyone who have experienced something similar. What happened? I am really nervous that this will be on my transcript and no one will hire me in the future.

What would your ideal partner be like? I'm from Swansea University in the UK and I'm helping to conduct a psychology study about what people like when choosing a romantic partner. Redditors? In my university? Apparently it's more common than I'd thought.
Anyway, with all the little clubs around like Kyudo (recent joiner here) and arguably the Gaming Collective (RIP Wargamers, you will be missed), I was wondering what other clubs there are that don't really get the attention they deserve. Any thoughts?

I'm planning on doing the health science diploma/degree to get into second year paramedicine next year since I didn't get the atar required. Does anyone have any experience going through this pathway? I'm working full time hours so I need to make a decision if I should start planning to cut down my work hours.
