Hi,
I was browsing the Deakin website and noticed they offer Electrical Engineering as an undergraduate degree that can be taken online.
Does anyone here study Cloud Campus engineering at Deakin?
I am interested when the "intensive" study week happens on campus, unfortunately the website doesn't have dates for this.
Any ideas?

With the Tabletop Regiment as Burwood dying, I was wondering where to go if I was looking for people to play Magic with. I did a bit of DnD there but didn't make it to the Magic days often and thus didn't really make any friends who're into it. Now that it's gone before I had the chance to meet many people I was wondering if there were any other groups (official or not) that I could look into. I figure that even if the society is falling apart, that there will still be people at the Burwood campus with an interest in these things. I also live on res if there's any group of people who play there that snuck under my notice. I was a bit of a recluse this past year and was hoping to find some people to play with next year.

Hello I'm am international student commencing my master of engineering (professional) course from Nov 2018 at Waurnponds campus. I've been notified about the new specialisation "additive manufacturing". I did my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. I am much interested to take the said specialisation. I need more info and help choosing it. Here are my questions, please answer.
1) Is there anyone who has taken up the same specialisation or is it absolutely newly added from Nov, 2018?
2) How is the teaching at faculty of engineering?
3) Which specialisation has much scope for a good career, Engineering management or additive manufacturing?
4) How likely would you suggest Additive Manufacturing at Deakin?
5) How is Australia adapting to the upcoming trend of additive manufacturing?
6) Will I have a good career in parts of Australia like Adelaide, Perth or Queensland as a graduate with Additive Manufacturing Master's degree? (This question is in view of growing immigrant population in Melbourne and Sydney)

So I just got acepted into deakin with a 25% scholarship and I'm really nervous right now so I'm gonna ask some questions to feel less disoriented when I arrive. Ok so first of all, should I stay in the campus? Or should I instead stay in a shared house near the campus for cheaper price? How hard is it to follow the lecture without undertaking the foundation programme? Is it true that international students are underpaid below the minimum wage? And how easy is it to make friends in deakin. Thank you in advance!

Has anybody studied Spanish at Deakin? I picked it as a major because I have a natural affinity for language or so I’m told, yet I’m looking at how heavy the unit is in terms of reading and I’m really shocked. It momentarily made me check the census date.
Please tell me that I haven’t picked the most rigorous major in the BA stream. I’m trying to boost my GPA while working full time so maybe I should have picked something else?

Hi!
I am part of a 3rd year Drama collctive and we are looking for opinions of how lonely univeristy students can be. Hopefully this will inform a group event like the mP3 project, taking place in Tri 2 2018, week 6 or 8 Burwood Campus.
Here are the questions I'd love some answers to.
Are you part of a Deakin club? If so, how often do you participate? if not / why don't you If there was an opportunity to do a short workshop focusing on social interaction eg)introducing you to people with common interests, would you be interested. What/s an positive moment you've had on Deakin Burwood campus and where was it?

Hello
I was wondering if anyone has had much joy in applying for a deakin scholarship. I applied for one on the basis of financial needs but it also automatically applied to the merit scholarship though I’m confident I wouldn’t get that.
I submitted my application with supporting documentation and even discussed how I would use any money that was granted to me.
I find it really strange how you can’t select level of scholarship funding in the one application. For example it’s either $10k,$5k or $1k I think. I mean ideally the $5k would be the most useful but it’s strange how you can’t state which one you want. Or do they just operate under the assumption that every applicants preference is the highest award possible lol

Hi there,
I'm up in QLD and I'm trying to get a hold of the data tables from the 1996 census. My libraries can't arrange a copy or loan from another library, the ABS no longer sells the CD product, and doesn't release the data digitally.
Deakin university library however does have it.
Would someone be willing to pop into the library, copy the CDs onto a USB, and upload the data to me?
It would be massively appreciated if you could help out!

Hey everyone! I recently got accepted to Deakin Waurn Ponds and I'm thinking of moving to stay on campus after a horrible learning experience at Victoria University :(. I'm a 2nd-year biomedical science student based on my current CPLS. My question is, does anyone have experience with living on the Waurn Ponds campus? I'm not really concerned about what's around the area really, I'm more concerned about what it's like living on the campus in regards to noise/distractions, as I really want to focus on my studies.
Any advice/experiences/messages would be greatly appreciated :).

Hi there. This is my 4th year at Deakin but my first year on campus at Burwood so I don't know anyone. I was hoping there was some interest groups or stuff like that I could join to meet new people.
