I think I'm close to the top of my game in my industry niche in my current job market. Mainly because all the applicants for similar positions around here don't appear to be up to my level.

My income is about two thirds that of a capital city CBD position, but on the other hand, my mortgage is only one third as much, my daily commute is at least one fifth the time, I'm not under the billable hours grindstone and I have a fair shot at being here long enough to qualify for long service leave, if I want to.

Edit: I actually forgot to mention: yes, I'm pretty happy about it.
