The late Alan Bond's wife of 37 years, Eileen 'Red' Bond, could not be happier that the House of Bond mini series ratings have been poor, and has told PS that she is disgusted by the Channel Nine show.
"Andrew, gosh I was stunned," Red told PS. "To see me being portrayed without prior warning came as a shock.
"I walked out after 10 minutes. Jody stayed. She thought it was poorly scripted, lacked balance and was very hurtful to watch as a daughter."
Red maintained that Alan Bond "never spoke to me" the way actor Ben Mingay, playing her late husband, did to Adrienne Pickering, who played Eileen.
While it is unclear if Eileen Bond will pursue legal action over this week's poorly rated broadcast, as her fellow Perthian Gina Rinehart did following the House of Hancock screening on Channel Nine, she was clearly appalled by the House of Bond series, adding it was a shame the "dead can't sue".
Instead Red and her daughter Jody have taken to social media to do their best to remember Alan Bond as much more than the boozing womaniser whose boardroom diddling saw him end up in jail.
The pair have shot their own video, which is currently being shared on Facebook.

"We know everyone has an opinion of Alan Bond. We as a family want you to know we are very proud of his achievements and we truly miss him," Jody says.
"We remember Alan as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather," adds Red, to which Jody says: "Dad was a gentleman who always carried a hanky in his pocket, he rarely drank, he never swore, he was incredibly generous to others and he achieved a huge amount. He raised his kids to respect education, work really hard and give back to the community ... these are the legacies we want dad to be remembered by."

Who doesn't love a "celebrity wedding"?
Billed as the definitive retrospective of Australian weddings, the LOVE IS exhibition opens at The Powerhouse Museum on May 13 and offers a close up on some of the most intriguing weddings from the past 200 years.
From colonial fashions through to bustled Victorian gowns, beaded flapper dresses, austere war fashions, the mini-dresses of the 1960s, over-the-top 1980s gowns and contemporary designer fashion, there are some common themes among the brides and grooms of yesteryear to the reality television stars and footballers of today.

Pretty much the same rules apply: a glamorous bride, a coveted would-be husband, a spectacular wedding, big-name guest list and no end of behind the scenes drama.
Included in the exhibition is the mini dress worn by model Irene Combe on her marriage to radio DJ Ward "Pally" Austin in 1967. They were the celebrity "it" couple of the day. At 37 he was 20 years older than his bride, and the groom left the wedding with a cigarette in his hand.
Then there is the gown worn by Diana "Bubbles" Fisher on her wedding to Humphrey Fisher in 1959. Diana, who became known to generations of Australians simply as "Bubbles", was a "stewardess" who met her husband on a flight. He was the son of the Archbishop of Canterbury Geoffrey Fisher. This gave Diana "royal" status in Australia and she was frequently called on as a royal commentator, even to this very day. They were married in the chapel at Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

When Alexandra Joel was queen of the Australian fashion scene as editor of now defunct magazine Mode, she wore a Robert Burton wedding power suit in 1979. It looks like it came straight from Joan Collins' Dynasty wardrobe.

More recent brides also get star billing including Kate Waterhouse's fabulous Vera Wang confection she wore in Sicily.
Jesinta Franklin also opted for a Vera Wang gown, for which she flew to New York for top secret fittings in an elaborate attempt to elude the media hungry for any clues on her big day with footballer Lance "Buddy" Franklin.

Model Bambi Northwood Blyth's Roberto Cavalli gown is also included, so too her husband Dan Single's Tom Ford suit, a reminder of a much happier time for the couple who are currently still in Paris where Single remains in hospital after falling off a hotel balcony.

Terry Biviano's stunning J'Aton gown and Anthony Minichiello's Tom Ford suit are also on display. Biviano's gown caused a stir on the day, but it was when her rival Jodi Gordon soon after wore a strikingly similar design on her wedding day to former footballer Braith Anasta, that the confetti really hit the fan.
Real Housewife reveals shady spot under family tree
Between all the screeching and diva meltdowns, it became one of the sub plots of the Real Housewives Of Sydney series: Bondi socialite and "skinny bitch" aficionado Victoria Rees' hunt for her long lost biological father.
And while Rees eventually discovered her father was a young hairdresser from the north of England named Duncan Slater who died many years before, that was only part of her rather intriguing family history and its connections with Sydney's underworld.

This week Rees confirmed PS' forensic investigations of her family tree were on the money and that she is actually the granddaughter of the late Eli Rose and his wife Florence, who in the swinging '60s ran what were then Sydney's hottest night clubs and most lucrative illegal casinos, places where Eli operated the baccarat tables which were graced by a visiting Frank Sinatra, and "Colourful Flo" was the resident showgirl.

On an episode of the RHoS Rees revealed her grandfather, whom she did not name, had paid her biological father $100,000 to pack up and leave Australia. At the time he was a 20-year-old who had been "forced" to marry Rees' now deceased mother, Gail, but refused to convert to Judaism.
"I was my grandfather's pride and joy, he cherished me ... yes they were a colourful pair and I loved them very, very much. He was clearly a man who people listened to," Rees beamed to PS, describing a fortunate upbringing and private school education courtesy of her grandfather's somewhat shady business.

For many years rumours had swirled around Rees and the identity of her biological father, with two of her father's associates, the late gangster Abe Saffron and notorious safe-blower, armed robber, burglar, horse-doper and standover man, Bertie Kidd, now 83, among the contenders.
"Yes I've heard that too but it is absolutely ridiculous and not true ... Duncan Slater is the name on my birth certificate, I just didn't know what had happened to him ... now I do," Rees told PS.
Leckie locks on gold-dinner newbie
There is nothing quite like the scent of a freshly minted billionaire to get a charity queen's pulse racing, and so it is for Skye Leckie as she counts down to next week's 20th Anniversary Gold Dinner which once again brings together Sydney's silvertails and attempts to prise some much-needed moolah for the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.

In Leckie's sights this year is Gold Dinner newbie Mike Cannon-Brookes, the self-made software moneybags and co-founder of Atlassian, who is all set to make his debut on the charity circuit.
Without applying too much pressure, let's just say hopes are high he will dig very deep for the sake of the kids.
No doubt he will have some stiff competition in the top-secret room, with PS confirming the likes of Russian heiress Alina and Scott Barlow, Channel Seven heir Ryan Stokes and his new wife Claire, Sarah Jane Clarke and Daniel Baffsky, pearling heiress Clare Paspaley, a beaming John Symond and his uber-glam wife Amber, and billionaire property developer Lang Walker and his wife Sue all leading the charity charge this year.

The Gold Dinner was conceived around Lucy Turnbull's kitchen table, with Leckie, Lyndi Adler, Judy Joye, Deeta Colvin and Mandy Foley cooking up the idea for "a signature" event targeting Sydney's pointy end.
Leckie, Adler, Joye, Colvin and Foley will all be there again this year, though Turnbull has had to pull out, she's off to Washington with her husband, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, to meet the new Prez, Donald Trump.
Nine produces nothing for Bell
Intrigue is building ahead of the week-long May hearing of millionaire celebrity accountant Anthony Bell's AVO matter with his estranged wife, Channel Nine television personality Kelly Landry.

In court this week it emerged that Channel Nine had been served a notice to produce from Bell's solicitor. Landry has appeared as a presenter on Nine's Getaway program, however the network said it had nothing to produce.
Two of Landry's doctors were also served by Bell's legal team and both came back with documents.
