but you still won’t let us edit tweets for typos ??!?

This should never be a thing. I don't want to RT something and then someone can change it and reflect on me. One of many reasons...
-
no, not forever. just (say) a 60 second grace period to allow you to correct a typo right after you've posted. such an obvious feature.
-
I feel even that 60 secs is scary. Right now, you can make yourself look like an idiot. Edit enables others to make you look like an idiot.
-
And twitter is too much about instant reaction to have a post delay or something so you have a moment to change before it posts.
-
see i like the idea of a post delay! ... if Twitter charged for a premium service (i would pay) this could be a feature.
-
Ya that's a much better option in my eyes. I wouldn't use it because I like instant response, but I can see why many would.
-
.. and twitter would make money! i'd happily pay up to £5/$5 a month to be a premium user.

You might save even more data by using regular Twitter with
@opera mini. -
Love the idea! I'll poke the team right away /Rosipic.twitter.com/aqYeQS5c7H

LISTEN TO YOUR USERS and give them the features they’re actually asking for. No one wants ‘lite’. How dumb.
-
They are listening to their users. Many mobile apps use too much data to be viable, especially in huge countries like India & Mexico.
