The city is home to some of Europe's top ranking universities, such as the Karolinska Institute and Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and hosts the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies and banquet at the Stockholm Concert Hall and Stockholm City Hall. One of the city's most prized museums, the Vasa Museum, is the most visited non-art museum in Scandinavia. The Stockholm metro, opened in 1950, is well known for its decoration of the stations; it has been called the longest art gallery in the world. Sweden's national football arena is located north of the city centre, in Solna. Ericsson Globe, the national indoor arena, is in the southern part of the city. The city was the host of the 1912 Summer Olympics, and hosted the equestrian portion of the 1956 Summer Olympics otherwise held in Melbourne, Australia.

I'm a BIG dreamer. This is what my mother used to tell me. When I was 5 years old my school teacher contacted my parents because of my drawings. I was obsessed by it and instead of listening the lesson, my mind was in a different world. When I was a kid, I used to have a lot of nightmares. I thought that creatures wanted to eat me. As soon as I started to paint, my nightmares were gone and my life drastically changed. My monsters became my friends, my family, my brothers. They always talk to me and I like to listen their advice, they guide me. 7 years ago I started to paint on photos. It was a way for me to give another life to places, people and actions that I love. More than eight million bricks were used to construct this beautiful building), Drottningholm Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This stunning architectural gem built in the 1600's is the private home of the Royal family) and many more.

Stockholm is a city that floats on water, the 'Venice of the North' was built on 14 islands.
Gamla Stan, or 'Old Town', is the name of the city's three central islands that are linked by numerous bridges. Its ambience is that of the Middle Ages and small and mysterious alleys and beautiful buildings that date back to the 7th century characterize the life of the traders who once lived there.
The old town's most dominant building is the royal castle of Kungliga Slottet. Larger than London's Buckingham Palace, it contains 608 rooms.
The Stadshuset is one of the city's landmarks and was designed in Medieval style eith a tower that is almost 106 metres tall. The most important artists of the time were engaged in the creation of the Blue Hall in which the Noble Prize ceremony now takes place each year.
Those who appreciate museums will not be disappointed by Stockholm as it boasts more than 50! The National Museum, located on the Strömmen Canal, contains countless works of art. Due to the passion for art of various Swedish royal families and also generous public donations, the museum has a truly outstanding collection of French paintings that date back to the 18th century.
Six kilometres south of Stockholm is a cemetery that has been designated as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, the Skogskyrkogarden, the final resting place for many of Stockholm's past inhabitants and also some of its most famous, including Greta Garbo. This extraordinary complex took 30 years to build and is unique in the world.
Since 1998, this centuries-old Hanse city has also been the cultural capital of Europe. This city of the Vikings is a true architectural gem!

I am professional traveler and videographer, working many microstock footage companies. We join up with our friend & fellow photographer Bret and cruise out to Stockholm to start an epic two week trip through Europe. We hopped on an insanely cheap Norwegian Airline flight direct out of Los Angeles and fell in love with Stockholm right away.
Currently working on putting together a blog, so I'll be able to upload more behind the scenes content for you guys on how I shoot/edit & how to travel affordably!

I'm a BIG dreamer. This is what my mother used to tell me.
When I was 5 years old my school teacher contacted my parents because of my drawings.
I was obsessed by it and instead of listening the lesson, my mind was in a different world.
When I was a kid, I used to have a lot of nightmares. I thought that creatures wanted to eat me. As soon as I started to paint, my nightmares were gone and my life drastically changed. My monsters became my friends, my family, my brothers. They always talk to me and I like to listen their advice, they guide me.
7 years ago I started to paint on photos. It was a way for me to give another life to places, people and actions that I love. Putting my monsters in existing situations makes me feel like I was there when the photo was taken.
"Once Upon a Place" is a travel across London, Berlin, Stockholm and Helsinki in order to find the inspiration exploring the city and the nature.
