History professor wins Fulbright grant

University of Richmond history and international studies professor David Brandenberger has received a Fulbright grant for his research on Russia's political landscape during the 1940s and 50s.

Annual Student Research Symposium

The School of Arts & Sciences' annual Student Symposium showcased more than 250 student research projects from nearly 30 disciplines in the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences.

One Book, One Richmond

A campus-wide effort, One Book, One Richmond encourages the reading and discussion of a selected book on a social justice issue. Next year's book is "The Faithful Scribe" by UR journalism professor Shahan Mufti, who uses the stories of his ancestors to reveal the roots of Islamic civilization in Pakistan.

Senior awarded Fulbright grant

Ryan McEvoy, '17, has received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant grant to teach English and American studies in a school in the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia starting in September.

Last summer, we filmed senior Carlos Cevallos talking about his research, which he is presenting at today's Student Symposium. Carlos is a biology major and chemistry minor who has worked in April Hill's lab studying how sponge genetics can help guide our understanding of the evolutionary pathways and relationships between species and their symbionts. #SpiderSmarts #SpiderPride
