The Fabaceae, Leguminosae or Papilionaceae, commonly known as the legume, pea, or bean family, is a large and economically important family of flowering plants. It includes trees, shrubs, and perennial or annual herbaceous plants, which are easily recognized by their fruit (legume) and their compound, stipulated leaves. The group is widely distributed and is the third-largest land plant family in terms of number of species, behind only the Orchidaceae and Asteraceae, with 630 genera and over 18,860 species. The five largest of the 630 legume genera are Astragalus (over 2,000 species), Acacia (over 1000 species), Indigofera (around 700 species), Crotalaria (around 700 species), and Mimosa (around 500 species), which constitute about a quarter of all legume species. About 18,000 legume species are known, amounting to about 7% of flowering plant species. Fabaceae is the most common family found in tropical rainforests and in dry forests in the Americas and Africa.
Recent molecular and morphological evidence supports the fact that the Fabaceae is a single monophyletic family. This point of view has been supported not only by the degree of interrelation shown by different groups within the family compared with that found among the Leguminosae and their closest relations, but also by all the recent phylogenetic studies based on DNA sequences. These studies confirm that the Leguminosae are a monophyletic group that is closely related with the Polygalaceae, Surianaceae and Quillajaceae families and that they belong to the order Fabales.
The smell and fragrance of flowers has always been so elusive. Let's understand why. Watch this video to learn about the floral properties that define a flower! We at Byju's Classes strongly believe that a spirit of learning and understanding can only be inculcated when the student is curious, and that curiosity can be brought about by creative and effective teaching. It is this approach that makes our lectures so successful and gives our students an edge over their counterparts. Overview of the Fabaceae or Leguminosae, the Legume plant family
This is a lovely bush we have come across, I believe it is a senna / cassia with lovely yellow pea flowers. It should prove hardy in most locations and will be on our ebay shop where you can buy rare seeds from Africa sent from the UK: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Tropical-Rare-Seeds If people wish to see a certain video please let us know, we are also able to source seeds for you and if you are after a certain variety of seeds I will go and look for them for you. We are currently developing our webpage http://www.tropicalrareseeds.com to include cultural guides and our full inventory which will be sold exclusively at our Ebay Shop.

I've been away a year and a day
You recognize love after the fact
You did what you did and that was that
Don't say words that you don't mean
When I'm gone, please speak well of me
Looking back now
I only wish I had been kinder
Did I ever know love, did I ever know love?
And could I have been blinder?
Don't hold back all your love for someday, for someday
I would say that I'm sorry if it would do any good
But to never regret means you have to forget
