Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist and vocalist Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott assumed the role of frontman and led them throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums. Thin Lizzy's most successful songs, "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", were all major international hits which are still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott's death in 1986, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years based initially around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes, though Sykes left the band in 2009. Gorham later continued with a new line-up including Downey.
Lynott, Thin Lizzy's de facto leader, was composer or co-composer of almost all of the band's songs, and the first black Irishman to achieve commercial success in the field of rock music. Thin Lizzy boasted some of the most critically acclaimed guitarists throughout their history, with Downey and Lynott as the rhythm section, on the drums and bass guitar. As well as being multiracial, the band drew their members not only from both sides of the Irish border but also from both the Catholic and Protestant communities during The Troubles. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including blues, soul music, psychedelic rock, and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or sometimes heavy metal. Rolling Stone magazine describes the band as distinctly hard rock, "far apart from the braying mid-70s metal pack".
Cowboy Song refers to 2 songs:
"Dancing in the Moonlight" is a song by the rock group King Harvest that was released as a single in 1972 and reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band released other singles, but they were never able to match the success of "Dancing in the Moonlight". The track used a Wurlitzer electric piano throughout.
The song was written in 1968 by Sherman Kelly, whose brother, Wells Kelly – King Harvest's drummer in the early 1970s – introduced the song to the band. It was originally recorded in 1969 by the American band, Boffalongo, which included Sherman Kelly (who sang lead on this original recording of his own composition) and future King Harvest frontman, Doc Robinson. Wells Kelly later became the original drummer for Orleans. Meanwhile, King Harvest recorded and released "Dancing in the Moonlight" as a single, with "Lady, Come On Home" on the B-side, while the band was based in Paris. Steve Cutler, a jazz drummer from New York City (standing on the pole in the cover picture), played drums on the tracks and toured with the band in France and the UK. The group disbanded after six months, and the single languished for a year, until it was bought and released worldwide by Perception Records.
Many countries have a national sport stadium, which typically serves as the primary or exclusive home for one or more of a country's national representative sports teams. The term is most often used in reference to an association football stadium. Usually, a national stadium will be in or very near a country's capital city or largest city. It is generally (but not always) the country's largest and most lavish sports venue with a rich history of hosting a major moment in sports (i.e. FIFA World Cup, Olympics, etc.). In many, but not all cases, it is also used by a local team. Many countries, including Spain and the United States, do not have a national stadium designated as such; instead matches are rotated throughout the country. The lack of a national stadium can be seen as advantageous as designating a single stadium would limit the fan base capable of realistically attending matches as well as the concern of the cost of transportation, especially in the case of the United States due to its geographical size and high population.

"Thin Lizzy: Live at the National Stadium Dublin" DVD. This is Lizzy live from 1975 Fighting tour, a treasure trove for Thin Lizzy fans, compiled from content from broadcaster RTE in the band's native Ireland which has never before been released on home video. On Stage At The National Stadium Dublin is described as the "Holy Grail" for Thin Lizzy fans, capturing the band at their very best in front of an adoring home crowd in Dublin. After various changes in the preceding years the classic 4-piece line-up was finally in place. This is the only live footage of many of the classics from the Fighting era. Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy in his last TV interview, three weeks before his death. It's not complete though.
Aired on the Monsters of Rock Show on Sky Channel back in 1985. Enjoy.
This must be one of Phil Lynott's last television interviews. Guessing by the UFO album review this must have aired in November 1985, about 8 weeks before his death thanks to (damn) drugs. What a loss. Aired on Sky Channel (Monsters of Rock show).

Me and my buddies, we're going to get drunk
We're going to go out on the town
We'll be checking it out, slipping it in
And stepping out of line
You know, everybody likes to get a little crazy
In their own particular way
But my buddies and I, we go over the top
And we're going over again today
We'll be having a good time
Passing the by-line
Having a good time
You know it's a rock and roll pastime
It might be typical, topical or maybe tropical
That doesn't mean anything
If you're political, practical
Then it's improbable, that you do anything
But me and my buddies, we like to go crazy
We like to go over the hill
Hey, woman will you be there
Because my buddies and I will
Having a good time
Passing the by-line
We'll be having a good time
It's a rock and roll pastime
Hey Snowy
Play a bit for me
That was Snowy White
And he likes err, it in the night
The next to play
I must say, is Scott Gorham and away
We'll be having a good time
Passing the by-line
Having a good time
It's a rock and roll pastime
Let's play that one more time
Hit me with that drum Brian
Hit me as hard as you can
Oh yes, that's they way I like it
Do it again, do it again, let's do it again
Having a good time
Oh yes, I like this
Having a good time
Typical, topical, who cares?
Having a good time
Political, practical, impossible
Having a good time
Don't ask me why Jack?
Having a good time
Having a good time
Having a wild time
Having a good time
I'm slipping on the inside
Having a good time
That's fine
Having a good time
Drinking Beaujolais, no that doesn't rhyme
Having a good time
Just talking from the top of my head
Having a good time
To the bottom of your soul
