Cassandra Thorburn escapes stress of Karl’s new romance by holidaying on Gold Coast with kids
CASSANDRA Thorburn has dealt with the drama of her ex Karl Stefanovic’s romantic getaway to Mexico by escaping to the Gold Coast for her own holiday with their three kids.
As photos emerged of the Today host getting close with his new lover Jasmine Yarbrough, 33, while jetting to Los Angeles and Mexico recently, it seems Thorburn tried to avoid the stress by jetting off on her own getaway.
The former ABC journalist was snapped relaxing and smoking cigarettes on a Gold Coast beach with the same friend who helped her move out of the family home just days earlier.
Looking comfortable in a pair of skinny jeans and a hoodie, Thorburn sat cross-legged in the sand and smoked, watching on as the kids played in the surf. Later on, she was seen pulling a wine glass out of her handbag.
Later on, the 45-year-old was spotted going for a stroll with her friend before enjoying a glass of wine over dinner.
The mum-of-three made sure to get some down time on the holiday that came just days after she was snapped moving everything out of the North Sydney home she once shared with Stefanovic.
Thorburn was left in charge of clearing out the five-bedroom Lindfield family home and was seen carrying bags, boxes, suitcases and clothes out of the house to the family car. So Thorburn took to the opportunity to unwind on the holiday.
After hitting the beach, she was also seen lazing on a pool recliner. With her friend by her side, the pair soaked up the sun as they scrolled through their phones and chatted.
