Police officers were forced to shoot dead an aggressive pit bull that had locked its jaws on a man's private parts after previously biting numerous people at a village festival.
The animal on the rampage had attacked several partygoers leaving them with bite wounds at a local festival in the town of Santpoort on the western coast of The Netherlands before its owner managed to get it under control.
A short while later police arrived, and initially believed that the situation was under control as the dog was in the arms of the owner.
But it then suddenly managed to break free where it then bit another victim in his crotch.
It then hung on and police officers were forced to shoot it after failing to pull it away from the man who was clearly in agony.
In amateur footage shot on the scene, the dog is seen biting a man in his crotch. One officer is seen aiming his gun at the dog. The person shooting the video is heard saying: "What are the police doing now?"
The police officer then fires multiple rounds at the dog, which died instantly. Shocked bystanders are seen walking away in disbelief at what just happened.
According to the police officer who fired the shots, the owner gave permission to shoot his dog.
They said: "He was clearly shocked that his dog had attacked other people. When the dog ran away again and bit a man in his crotch, the owner shouted that his dog has gone crazy and he must be put down before more people would fall victim."
It is already the second incident involving a violent pit bull terrier to occur in The Netherlands in just a few days.
On Sunday, a 6-year-old girl who had fled from Syria with her parents was viciously attacked by a pit bull and bitten all over her face. While the girl survived the accident and is recovering, her parents said that she will nevertheless need plastic surgery and have refused to allow her to look at herself in a mirror.

They seem to think a camera is a dangerous item. It can't blow anything up, it can't undress someone more then they are, it can't shot someone, except their image of course, as it captures light.
Don't talk to Coppers, unless you record what is said or you have your own witness there. After they will tell lies, especially if it ends in court.
Those being up to NO good would have taken off quick smart at the mention of ringing the Police.
The other problem here, is they didn't Id themselves or what copshop they come from. The only way I got their Id is off the video I took, but turned off at the insistence of my missus.

Special agent
In the United States, Special Agent is usually the title of a detective or investigator for a state, country, municipal, federal or tribal government who primarily serve in investigatory roles. Uniquely, many railroad police departments in the U.S. utilize "Special Agent" as either a rank or title, even if the special agent's role is not primarily investigatory in nature. Within the United States' federal law enforcement system there are dozens of federal agencies that employ federal law enforcement officers, each with different criteria pertaining to the use of the titles "Special Agent" versus "Agent." Police officers were forced to shoot dead an aggressive pit bull that had locked its jaws on a man's private parts after previously biting numerous people at a village festival.
The animal on the rampage had attacked several partygoers leaving them with bite wounds at a local festival in the town of Santpoort on the western coast of The Netherlands before its owner managed to get it under control.
A short while later police arrived, and initially believed that the situation was under control as the dog was in the arms of the owner.
But it then suddenly managed to break free where it then bit another victim in his crotch.
It then hung on and police officers were forced to shoot it after failing to pull it away from the man who was clearly in agony.
In amateur footage shot on the scene, the dog is seen biting a man in his crotch. One officer is seen aiming his gun at the dog. The person shooting the video is heard saying: "What are the police doing now?"
The police officer then fires multiple rounds at the dog, which died instantly. Shocked bystanders are seen walking away in disbelief at what just happened.
According to the police officer who fired the shots, the owner gave permission to shoot his dog.
They said: "He was clearly shocked that his dog had attacked other people. When the dog ran away again and bit a man in his crotch, the owner shouted that his dog has gone crazy and he must be put down before more people would fall victim."
It is already the second incident involving a violent pit bull terrier to occur in The Netherlands in just a few days.
On Sunday, a 6-year-old girl who had fled from Syria with her parents was viciously attacked by a pit bull and bitten all over her face. While the girl survived the accident and is recovering, her parents said that she will nevertheless need plastic surgery and have refused to allow her to look at herself in a mirror.
