Flagstaff Mountain is a foothill on the eastern flank of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 6,983-foot (2,128 m) peak is located in Boulder Mountain Park, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southwest by west (bearing 239°) of downtown Boulder in Boulder County, Colorado, United States.
Flagstaff Mountain offers scenic day and night views of Boulder, Metropolitan Denver, and the surrounding mountains. There are hiking and bike trails, picnic areas, the Summit Nature Center, and an outdoor amphitheatre.
A flagstaff is a staff for displaying a flag; see Flag#Flagpoles.
Flagstaff may also refer to:
A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally steeper than a hill. Mountains are formed through tectonic forces or volcanism. These forces can locally raise the surface of the earth. Mountains erode slowly through the action of rivers, weather conditions, and glaciers. A few mountains are isolated summits, but most occur in huge mountain ranges.
High elevations on mountains produce colder climates than at sea level. These colder climates strongly affect the ecosystems of mountains: different elevations have different plants and animals. Because of the less hospitable terrain and climate, mountains tend to be used less for agriculture and more for resource extraction and recreation, such as mountain climbing.
The highest mountain on Earth is Mount Everest in the Himalayas of Asia, whose summit is 8,850 m (29,035 ft) above mean sea level. The highest known mountain on any planet in the Solar System is Olympus Mons on Mars at 21,171 m (69,459 ft).
Boulder is the home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Boulder County, and the 11th most populous municipality in the U.S. state of Colorado. Boulder is located at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 5,430 feet (1,655 m). The city is 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Denver.
The population of the City of Boulder was 97,385 at the 2010 United States Census, while the population of the Boulder, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area was 294,567.
Boulder is famous for its colorful Western history, being a choice destination for hippies in the late 1960s, and as home of the main campus of the University of Colorado, the state's largest university. Furthermore, the city of Boulder frequently acquires top rankings in health, well-being, quality of life, education and art.
On November 7, 1861, legislation was passed making way for the state university to be located in Boulder, and on September 20, 1875, the first cornerstone was laid for the first building (Old Main Building) on the C.U. campus. The university officially opened on September 5, 1877.

This is a short video of my girlfriend and I climbing two classic boulders on the beautiful Flagstaff Mountain. The first boulder is called The Trough Direct V8. This is a fun powerful climb on the Capstan Boulder. It has some unique holds all the way up. Naomi tried it a few times and figured out the beta for herself pretty quickly. After some rest she geared up and took it down. The second boulder is Undercling Traverse V9. This problem gave me a lot of trouble. I had the beta figured out after my first session but just didn't have the endurance to finish it off. After trying it for multiple days it finally came together. Psyched to have had such a great day with my beautiful little family. Hope you enjoy the video

This is a driving video from my road tour series. Flagstaff Mountain offers the best views of Boulder Colorado and CU (Colorado University). It's not technically a mountain and actually a foothill. It's located by Boulder's famous Flatirons mountain and is a very quick and easy trip from downtown boulder! If you love hiking or simply checking out the city from 6,983ft, this is the place to be! Wasabi Gap and Sunset Ridge Trai on Mt. Elden in Flagstaff, Arizona. Getting Down On The Mountain - Corb Lund
Here is a video of Naomi sending Cryptic Magician V7 on Flagstaff Mountain in the Darkside area. This climb is located above the very popular boulder called Valhalla. Cryptic Magician has a little bit of everything and will definitely test your patience. At first glance the boulder seems pretty straight forward, but once you pull onto the wall it suddenly becomes harder than you imagined. Tricky feet and bad holds make for a great challenge only a few minutes from the car. If you are in the area make sure to go check this one out since its one of the better climbs on the mountain in my opinion. Naomi's Social Media Website : https://naomirobles.com

Humphreys Peak is the highest natural point in the U.S. state of Arizona, with an elevation of 12,637 feet and is located within the Kachina Peaks, 11 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Humphreys Peak is the highest of a group of extinct volcanic peaks known as the San Francisco Peaks. The summit can be most easily reached by hiking the 4.8 miles long Humphreys Trail that begins at the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort in the Coconino National Forest. The last 1 mile of the trail traverses the only region of tundra in Arizona, at an elevation of more than 11,500 feet

In this travel video guide to Scottsdale, Arizona, I travel to Scottsdale, the so-called "Miami Beach" of Arizona. Located just to the east of Phoenix, Scottsdale is home to some of the city's best restaurants, bars, hotels and attractions. I start of my travel in Scottsdale visiting downtown, otherwise known as "Old Town," the very walkable central part of the city full of small shops and a booming restaurant scene. It is also here that the city's roots can be traced back to the original farmers and settlers that called this otherwise barren part of the desert home back in the early 1900's. I then head east into Tonto National Park to go kayaking down the Salt River with Arizona Outback Adventures (AOA), the area's premiere outdoor adventure company. Next, I visit Taliesin West, the...

A nice mountain biking trail near flagstaff. Fairly close to the town center actually. pretty sure this was on/next to Mt. Elden. Took about 2 hours to bike up but it was completely worth it. Some pretty technical stuff but really fun. Most trails were black but some were blue, I don't recommend these trails for beginners. Btw the best footage in my opinion is in the last 15 0r 20 minutes...
