Coronavirus: Wuhan celebrates return to normal but blame game has just begun | ITV News
The last time ITV News Asia Correspondent Debi Edward came to Wuhan it was in April for the end of the city’s 76-day coronavirus lockdown.
She said she was met off the train by teams of officials in hazmat suits, were tested for Covid-19 and when the ITV News team went back to Beijing they faced two weeks of strictly monitored quarantine - and another test.
She said: "So it was rather surreal to return this week and film at a pool party packed with hundreds of people, young and old, splashing around screaming and singing with unbridled delight to European dance music being played by a DJ on a stage."
"We arrived for the final night of a summer festival which was given the go ahead after the city was declared virus free."

Earth on the Edge: Heat, wind and drought hit Australian rainforests | ITV News
Since the Earth on the Edge series began, the extremes of drought, heat and wind have destroyed mile after square mile of Australian bush. Debi Edward reports while visiting the severe drought hit areas.
When I came to Australia at the end October to report on drought people were concerned about the bushfire season.
The fires started early last year and they usually don’t take hold until the summer season - December or January - but they had started in Winter.
What we’ve seen in recent weeks has gone beyond even their worst fears.
Millions of acres of land have been ravaged by fires, thousands of homes have been destroyed, 28 lives have been lost and some are estimating more than one billion animals have perished.
They are air dropping sweet potatoes and carrots onto national park lan...

They are air dropping sweet potatoes and carrots onto national park land on Monday night where they believe some animals have survived the fires but will have nothing left to eat.
