Madonna is unhappy over Universal’s development of the biopic “Blonde Ambition.”

“Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen,” she said in an Instagram post on Tuesday. “Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society.”

Universal had no comment. The studio won an auction Monday for Elyse Hollander’s “Blonde Ambition” screenplay about Madonna’s first album.

“Blonde Ambition” led the 2016 version of the Black List — an annual ranking of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood. Hollander’s script received 49 votes among the 250 executives voting. The project details Madonna’s efforts in the early 1980s in New York City to get her first album released while navigating fame, romance, and the dismissive attitude of the music industry at the time.

“Blonde Ambition” is set up with Brett Ratner’s Ratpac and Michael De Luca. John Zaozirny of Bellevue Productions will also produce.

Madonna broke out in 1983 on her first self-titled album “Madonna,” followed by 1984’s blockbuster “Like a Virgin.”

Sadly Madonna will never be truly appreciated until she is gone. Of all the pop icons Madonna is the only one still standing! If you were to ask people 25 years ago who they would think would die of a drug overdose most would probably mention Madonna. Yet, Whitney, Michael, Prince and George Michael all have passed due to drugs.

Madonna was never the best dancer or singer but she puts on the very best live shows.

Oh, watch out. The Madonnastans have arrived.

“a charlatan and a fool looking for instant gratification”

That sums her up pretty well.

Ask yourself… what have you done in your life that will be forever remembered?

@April GFY! I dare you to achieve an 1/8 of what she has achieved in her career. She is the last icon of the 80s, and she is still going. Personally I believe Madonna should tell her own story because she is the only one who has lived it. And don’t give me this, she is past her prime and she should retire BS! She should retire when Mick Jagger retires.

I agree with you Talya. Madonna is the last icon of the 80s. And many people will criticize her but they have no idea how much work it took for her to get where she is. And not only that she is one of the few women icons in pop music. No one can compete with her. Only people with no ambition in life hate her, mainly because they are jealous of her and her success.
