By Amy Mitchell-Whittington
The body of a woman who went missing on Monday after a fishing trip north of Bundaberg has been found.
Police found the 90-year-old's body washed up on Rules Beach, north of Baffle Creek where she and a 90-year-old man had gone fishing on Monday.
The pair, from Bundaberg, had set off in a small aluminium boat in Baffle Creek about 5.30am before the man's body was found by a fisherman at 4.40pm in the creek.
The discovery sparked a search and rescue operation by the Gladstone Water Police, who later found their boat upturned about 7am Tuesday morning.
SES members, Volunteer Marine Rescue and police officers joined in the search to find the woman, whose body was discovered a few hours later.
Police said there was nothing to indicate suspicious circumstances at this stage, however an investigation would be undertaken to determine what happened.
