ANNO 2016
Rosso Del Giorno
An enthusiastic, vibrant and devoutly Catholic red wine for drinking with il diavolo and pepperoni pizza. Cherries, plums, cigar box spice and dry tannin.
69% Sangiovese31% Merlot100% StupefacenteSangiovese from two sites in the Barossa Valley. Merlot from an organically farmed vineyard at Norton Summit in the Adelaide Hills. Sangiovese for tannin and rusticity, Merlot for plushness
and elegance. Separate, long, gentle, indigenous ferments. Sent to old oak to get a little plump and fat, but still retaining fruit freshness and dry and dusty tannin. Una piccola quantità di zolfo aggiunto. -
ANNO 2016
Bianco Superioré
A pungent tropical fruit cocktail of refreshment with layers and layers of texture and intrigue. A subtle spiciness reveals itself slowly like a Franciscan monk.
47% Sauvignon Blanc20% Pinot Grigio19% Garganega14% Roussanno100% BelladonnaA truly classic multi-regional and multi- varietal blend, allowing us to experiment with different parcels of fruit to create a textural white-ish wine made purely for the table. Garganega and Grigio saw skin contact (3 weeks for the Garganega and 3 days for the Grigio) while Sauvignon and Roussanno saw slow, oxidate pressing and barrel fermentation. More of an ode to the wines of Friuli than last years Veneto. Una piccola quantità di zolfo aggiunto.
