All I needed was a cheap cigar!
WikiTribune. I'm encouraged and I'm on board. I quit news media for gov.uk partly over issues this tries to solve. https://www.wikitribune.com
The idea that WikiTribune content will be both neutral and decided by crowdfunders is laughably flawed. Wikipedia already has huge biases
I'm really enjoying how Jimmy Wales is 'helping struggling news funded by ads' by launching a huge mega-funded competitor, Wikitribune
Where will the news be sourced? Wikipedia relies heavily on existing media. Will WikiTribune merely rerun stories reported elsewhere?
I doubt #wikitribune will "fix the news". People want compelling stories not just "factual and neutral articles" http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-39695767 …

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-39695767 … Ambitious plan by Wikipedia's Jimmy Wales to launch fact-checked news service. But will enough readers pay?
