Hluhluwe (Zulu pronunciation: [ɬuɬuw'e]) is a small town in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is situated between iSimangaliso Wetland Park and Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park on the banks of the Hluhluwe River. Hluhluwe is situated on the elephant coast, an area known for its national parks, natural diversity and cultural heritage. Although relatively undeveloped the area is of growing interest to international tourists and travelers. The area hosted several local and international movie productions including I dreamed of Africa and Ghost Son as well as several documentaries that were filmed in the surrounding national parks.
Timber, sugar and pineapples are intensively grown in the area, which produces over 90% of South Africa's queen pineapples. Other agricultural crops are sugar-cane, sisal, cotton, tomatoes and chillies. Due to traditional settlement patterns and customs, activity is still low in some areas.
Hluhluwe is considered the hub of tourism in KwaZulu-Natal. The Hluhluwe area has an abundance of accommodation facilities, from budget accommodation to five-star game lodges. Hluhluwe town is a service centre to the surrounding area. The town is named after the thorny rope climber Dalbergia armata (umHluhluwe in Zulu), which is found among the forest vegetation types in Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park. Up to 95% of South African pineapples are produced in this area.
Game reserves are large areas of land where wild animals live safely or are hunted in a controlled way for sport.
Many game reserves are located in Africa. Most are open to the public, and tourists commonly take sightseeing safaris.
In a game reserve, ecosystems are protected and conservation is usually a key. Indigenous wildlife in its natural habitat help in providing an environment where growth in numbers at a natural rate can occur.
Some game reserves boast more than one ecosystem, sometimes even five, ranging from valley bushveld, savannah grassland and fynbos to riverine forest and acacia woodland; this provides a dramatic improvement on the types of wildlife that are present and the numerous species of birds that thrive on in these environments.
The biggest attraction is the Big Five game (Africa) - rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo, leopard and lion, named so because of the difficulty in hunting them and not their size, which is why the leopard is on the list and the hippopotamus is not.
Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park, formerly Hluhluwe–Umfolozi Game Reserve, is the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa. It consists of 960 km² (96,000 ha) of hilly topography 280 kilometres (170 mi) north of Durban in central Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and is known for its rich wildlife and conservation efforts. The park is the only state-run park in KwaZulu-Natal where all the big five game animals occur. Due to conservation efforts, the park now has the largest population of white rhino in the world. However, the rhinos and the park's wilderness areas are now threatened by plans to build an open-cast coal mine right on the park's border, a plan that a growing coalition of organisations is fighting to stop.
Throughout the park there are many signs of Stone Age settlements. The area was originally a royal hunting ground for the Zulu kingdom, but was established as a park in 1895. The Umfolozi and Hluhluwe reserves were established primarily to protect the white rhinoceros, then on the endangered species list. The area has always been a haven for animals as tsetse flies carrying the nagana disease are common, which protected the area from hunters in the colonial era. However, as the Zululand areas was settled by European farmers the game was blamed for the prevalence of the tsetse fly and the reserves became experimental areas in the efforts to eradicate the fly. Farmers called for the slaughter of game and about 100,000 animals were killed in the reserve before the introduction of DDT spraying in 1945 solved the problem. However, white rhinoceros were not targeted and today a population of about 1000 is maintained. On April 30, 1995, the then President Nelson Mandela visited the then Hluhluwe Game Reserve to celebrate the park's centenary. Hluhluwe–Imfolozi was originally three separate reserves that joined under its current title in 1989.
South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is the southernmost sovereign state in Africa. It is bounded on the south by 2,798 kilometers of coastline of southern Africa stretching along the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans, on the north by the neighbouring countries of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, and on the east by Mozambique and Swaziland, and surrounding the kingdom of Lesotho. South Africa is the 25th-largest country in the world by land area, and with close to 53 million people, is the world's 24th-most populous nation. It is the southernmost country on the mainland of the Old World or the Eastern Hemisphere.
South Africa is a multiethnic society encompassing a wide variety of cultures, languages, and religions. Its pluralistic makeup is reflected in the constitution's recognition of 11 official languages, which is among the highest number of any country in the world. Two of these languages are of European origin: Afrikaans developed from Dutch and serves as the first language of most white and coloured South Africans; English reflects the legacy of British colonialism, and is commonly used in public and commercial life, though it is fourth-ranked as a spoken first language.

Sarah & Vicky take on the wildlife in the Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa! June 28 - June 29, 2016
Chasing the Rainbow enjoyed a few days at Hilltop Resort in Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. Renowned for its incredible view and thriving wildlife population, Hilltop did not disappoint! Our favourite was the Umbhombe Forest walking trail around the outskirts of the resort. We saw so much game on that trail that we didn't even need to go on any game drives! We loved the safari night drive (where we had an extremely close shave with a very angry male rhino) and saw many of the larger animals on our self-drive safaris. Hilltop gets a huge thumbs up from the Dirsuwei family of Chasing the Rainbow! We hope you enjoy the short video. http://www.chasingtherainbow.net
Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve Tours Video - Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is one of South Africas best-known, most evocative parks. Covering 96,000 hectares, the park is best visited in winter as the animals then range widely without congregating at water sources (the White iMfolozi and Black iMfolozi Rivers flow here), although the lush vegetation sometimes makes viewing difficult. However, summer visits can also be very rewarding, especially in the open savannah country areas. The park has lions, elephants, rhinos (black and white), leopards, giraffes, buffalos and wild dogs. The Centenary Centre, a wildlife-holding centre with an attached museum and information centre, is in the eastern section of iMfolozi. It incorporates rhino enclosures and antelope pens, and was established to allow visi...
White Rhinos mating in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park while out on Safari. An extra ordinary park also being the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa.
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is often referred to as the birthplace of rhino conservation. By the late 19th Century Southern white rhino numbers had plummeted to around 50 individuals and urgent action was taken in iMfolozi to save the species from the brink of extinction. Through the dedication and sheer hard work of staff in the Reserve, the number of white rhinos increased to the extent that, in the 1950s, ‘Operation Rhino’ was launched, by the legendary Dr Ian Player and his team. Ever since Operation Rhino, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park has been a pioneer in rhino capture and translocation techniques. Each year ‘surplus’ white and black rhinos are still captured to restock other protected areas and private sanctuaries. Watch Section Ranger, Dirk Swart, describe how the teams carry out a rhino t...

The true essence of a wilderness trail is aptly experienced during a 4 day hike in the iMfolozi section of the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Nature Reserve in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. During the trail we saw four of the Big 5 and on two day we walked in the track of all the Big 5. There were plenty special moments, but finding a Africaan Rock Python close to the shower area was a definite highlight.

Necesito tu calor
Necesito tu amor
El tiempo se va muy lejos atras
Y ahora estoy y tambien soy
El hombre que busca una razon
Para vivir, para decir
Que hoy te quiero cada dia mas
Necesito tu calor
Necesito tu amor
Y ahora que no estoy fallando
Siento que me estas matando
Necesito tu calor
Y ahora que te estoy amando
Nuestro amor se esta enfriando
Necesito tu calor
Y ahora que no estoy fallando
Siento que me estas matando
