Trial date set against anarchist comrades Juan, Nataly and Enrique (Chile)

After years of initiating investigations and arrests for attacks on police stations and Santiago Metro infrastructure in 2014, the nauseating southern district prosecution office has decided to set a date to begin the trial under the anti-terrorism law.

The prosecution will have 186 witnesses, 87 experts, 231 documents and 648 pieces of evidence to be presented before the altars of the democratic inquisition on March 24, 2017 when the trial against the comrades will begin.

Like other mega-legal processes, the trial is expected to last for a couple of months.

There is an urgent need to build revolutionary solidarity to confront the judicial machinery that is trying to swallow the lives of Juan, Nataly and Enrique.

Trial of anarchist comrades Juan, Nataly and Enrique is approaching (Chile)

After almost two years since the arrest and detention of comrades Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova and Enrique Guzmán, the prosecution have decided to end the investigation period of the case and proceed towards the trial.

In the theater of the modern inquisition, once the investigation period has ended the prosecution have 10 days to present ‘the indictment’, which details the evidence and convictions that they are requesting.

The comrades are accused of the attacks that occurred in 2014 at Subcentro, the metro station of the Dominicans and two police stations.

FOR COMBATIVE MEMORY, A BLACK DECEMBER
Combative memory defines us as individuals taking a stand in our negation of the existent, forces us to push the memory of our fallen comrades beyond reflecting on how they were snatched from us, bringing them into our everyday lives in many forms and individual initiatives without giving in to resignation in the face of death or to oblivion.

To bring new life to their insurgent lives, through actions, also to remind those who took their lives that the comrades live in each one of us and that we will always despise the role of those who chose to become defenders of the present system of dominion.

The guard who murdered Angry has been turned into a citizens’ hero, he who without even thinking about it became responsible for that murder. This mercenary who honoured his own institution is stained with the blood of our loved one, we all know that. Just as we know that any servant (defender of order) could do the same as William Vera [the piece of shit that killed Angry, crocenera note], we can observe their movements as they kill or imprison anyone who dares touch the sacred property of the rich, their houses, cars, shops and anything they put on show, including their cherished money. We who are far from the logic of power, know that the loss of our dear ones can never be forgotten, their lives are full of meaning and beauty, ideas and coherence, and in them many desires and tensions merge. Una vez finalizada la huelga de hambre de Nataly, Juan, Guillermo y

El día miércoles se realizó la reformalización de cargos contra lxs
compañerxs y nosotrxs salimos a la calle a irrumpir en diversos puntos
de la ciudad de Santiago con nuestros gritos de solidaridad insurrecta.

Porque nuestra apuesta es la solidaridad permanente con lxs secuestradxs
por el poder como parte del continuo enfrentamiento contra toda forma de
autoridad.

Saludamos a todxs lxs compañerxs que en la misma semana dejaron sus
propios aullidos en los muros de la ciudad.

Communique about the end of the hunger strike from Nataly, Juan & Guillermo ($hile)

To our brothers, comrades, relatives, loved ones and people in solidarity with us, to the public.

In 54/53 (Nataly / Juan, Guillermo) days from the beginning of our hunger strike, on Friday, June 5, we end our mobilization, which was a response to the repressive maneuvers power unleashed this time against us, against our emotional and solidarity environment. We decided to stand on our feet and to publicize our situation, without letting the designs of power to realized, which through legal/police/media/ suppressive tricks seeks to perpetuate isolation, silence and absolute submission. We decided to mobilize through a joint decision, a horizontal agreement, far from levels and hierarchies, which the lovers of power and the law seek to replicate in each and every group of people. It is the most dignified way of being in this world of bowed heads and prizes for any kind of boss.

Anarchist prisoners Nataly, Juan and Guillermo end their hunger strike (Chile)

According to a statement posted by the comrades from the website Coordinadora Anticarcelaria La Fuga, Nataly, Juan and Guillermo decided to end their hunger strike 53 days since it began – this would have occurred on Friday June 7th.

Recall that the comrades have already won two of their major demands from the authorities – the removal of Nataly from solitary confinement and the release from prison of their comrade Enrique Guzmán*.

In the coming days the three comrades will release a communique regarding their situation and explaining their reasons for ending the hunger strike.

* During the morning of June 10th, the competent court of San Miguel ruled in favor of prosecutor Orellana, who revoked the total house arrest for Enrique and demanded he be once again sent to pretrial detention.

A signal of complicity from the Greek prisons, for the international call of solidarity made from Publicacion Refractario, Colectivo Lucha Revolucionaria (Revolutionary Struggle Collective) and Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras, to our brothers and sister Nataly Casanova, Juan Flores, Guillermo Durán and Enrique Guzmán, who are imprisoned in Chile, accused for attacks made by the International Conspiracy of Revenge and the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, Chile.

Nothing is uglier than ugliness repeated twice.

Chile: anarchist Enrique Guzmán is arrested and detained.

The reason: the police say that traces of his DNA were found at a distance from a target where a bomb was placed, which is included in the case for which our brothers and sister Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova, Guillermo Durán were arrested, 6 months ago.

The real reason: Guzmán was a friend of the three imprisoned comrades, who did not abandon them for a moment in the difficult conditions of captivity. He was the friend who despised police looks and checks and visited them often in prison. He was the friend who, with his communication, canceled their exile and loneliness, in the land of the locked up people.

He is the friend who proves that real friends do not flinch, but share both the laughter of joys and the steep hills of sorrows…

No aggression without response

Arrested since September 18th 2014, comrades Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova and Guillermo Duran are accused of involvement in bomb attacks which occurred on July 13th, claimed by International Conspiracy of Revenge, and September 8th 2014, claimed by Conspiracy of Cells of Fire (Chile). They deny charges but claim themselves as anarchists.

On April 6th 2015, Enrique Guzman was arrested, a solidarious comrade and friend who visited the comrades in prison.

On April 14th 2015, the four comrades started a hunger strike demanding:

– the release of comrade Enrique Guzmán.
– the immediate transfer of compañera Nataly Casanova from solitary confinement to a wing/tower where she will be able to have contact/relationship with other inmates and more hours in the yard.
– the end to harassment of their close friends and family.
– the end of assaults and disciplinary sanctions towards Juan and Nataly;
– end to DNA-based prosecutions.

This brochure includes texts by the comrades, about harassment against them and their close friends and family. Also, we include a solidarity call that we have published with other groups. Most of the text was translated to English by the comrades of Act for Freedom!

Natalie Casanova charged with making threats against prison screws ($hile)

Anarchist comrade Nataly Casanova was denounced for ‘threats’ against prison guards in the prison of San Miguel, where she is locked up since September 2014 awaiting trial for the placement of four explosive devices (Metro los dominicos, 1st Comisaria, 39th Comisaria, divecenter Metro Escuela Militar).

Nataly during these months has received four complaints about her ‘attitude’ as she is not submissive towards the jailers.

1. And there we go again. Because the war continues.

After an accumulative cycle of street agitation, mass mobilisations and expansion of social conflicts in Chile, power has tried to generate mechanisms favouring the continuity and the reinforcement of the model of democratic domination.

The government on duty has used various tactics allowing to
progressively nullify the discontent so as to avoid the cracks in the questioned social order to spread or become deeper. The mass mobilisations which questioned the economic and social model produced in dictatorship were answered by proposals of social reform recuperating the slogans of the protest movements, including them as part of the solutions configured from out of the State. The critiques against the “political elite” were answered by “opening up” the parliamentary rooms for social and student leaders. The critiques against the “old politics behind closed doors” were answered by organizing round tables of dialogue with citizens’ organisations as to co-opt the demands and strengthen the democratic and participatory image of the State. These things were implemented together with other measures trying to broaden social consensus, weaken the questioning of the dominant order and secure a new cycle of the country’s governability. 1. Y aquí vamos otra vez. Porque la guerra continúa.

Tras un ciclo acumulativo de agitación callejera, movilizaciones masivas y expansión de conflictos sociales en Chile, el poder ha buscado generar mecanismos que favorezcan la continuidad y fortalecimiento del modelo de dominación democrático.

Con tal de evitar que las grietas en el cuestionado orden social se extiendan o se vuelvan más profundas, el gobierno de turno ha desplegado diversas tácticas que le permiten anular progresivamente el descontento.
Así, a las movilizaciones masivas que han puesto en cuestión el modelo económico y social gestado en dictadura, se ha respondido con propuestas de reformas sociales que recuperan las consignas de los movimientos de protesta para incluirlos en soluciones configuradas desde el Estado. (more…)

Solidarity with Juan, Natalie and Guillermo: 3 arrested comrades are formally charged under the anti-terrorist law in recent Santiago bombings case (Chile)

On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, the judicial formalization of charges was performed against Juan Flores, Natalie Casanova and Guillermo Duran, comrades arrested on September 18 accused of the last explosive attacks that occurred in Santiago.

In a special courtroom (with two floors), used for large prosecutions, formalization was performed with a great security device that included the presence of anti-riot prison guards and various controls before enter the court room.

The 3 comrades were charged under anti-terrorist law:

Juan Flores: Charged with 5 accusations. Accused as the author of the subway bombing in “Los Diminicos” station (July 23) and the “Sub-center” (September 8 ), actions that were claimed by “Conspiracy of Cells of Fire – Chile”. He was also accused as the perpetrator of the double simultaneous explosive attack against two Police Headquarters on August 11, claimed by CIV (International Conspiracy of Revenge). Also accused of the strange charge of “Tenure and processing of explosives for terrorist actions in the attempted grade”.

Juan is now under preventive prison for 10 months during the prosecution’s investigation, awaiting for trial. (more…)
