UNDERNEATH WHAT - What Is It LP 89
Gosh, did Pearl Jam borrow the title song from their 'Animal' LP from these guys? They have two 'animal' songs here with different names that sound like it. Chic - Le Freak cover is pretty cool too!

P.F.M. - Cook LP 74 w Chocolate Kings LP 76
Since we had some Yes vocals last week, how about some Yes keyboard sounds? As the Wiki states, they are the first Italian Prog Rock band or Rock for that matter to make it big overseas. Somehow the true prog classics have a certain guitar sound that sounds incredible on vinyl ala the first ELP record or early Gentle Giant stuff and this is no different with intense energy. Looks like the only two releases that made it overseas but the live LP summarizes the hit songs on those earlier releases.

NERSESIAN - You Jerk Of All Jerks LP 87
Here is the blurred picture in the file...just too classic not to post!
Pretty funny guy this Bob Nersesian, who as the review says is either certifiable or genius as no two songs sound the same. My kind of guy.

Another great lyricist who wears sunglasses all the time, kinda like Russ Ballard for example. I wonder if the fellow Scotsmen in TV21 influenced the name of the S&L LP since such a big hit.

YAZ - Yazoo - Don't Go - EP 82 w Situation 7 82 w Upstairs At Eric's LP 82 w You And Me Both LP 83 w Nobody's Diary 12 EP 83 w Situation 2x7 1999 Mixes
REPOST Request: This band later had to shorten their name to YAZ which has been posted previous and a fine article about them on the facebook group, Dangerous Minds which I just think I figured out from a week or two ago are named for a Bob Geldof lyric. Oh yeah dude in band is original member who left from Depeche Mode (who is a band I saw play with Duran Duran because my girlfriend forced me to go in high school but never liked either--YAZ I dig tho').

Was so busy at work last week wasn't even able to post this or any requests. Thanks to Rikk Agnew for posting the news on Facebook, otherwise I wouldn't have known that the guitarist Freddy Pompeii died last week. I discovered the band in 2007 when I started blogging and they became a favorite right away. Here's what I got thanks to the old Punknotprofit and Isksp blogs. Rest In Peace.

VANGELIS - Albedo 0.39 LP 76 w Spiral LP 77 w The Dragon LP 81 w Opera Sauvage LP 79 w See You Later LP 80 w The Friends Of Mr. Cairo LP 81
Just scratching the surface here of this very famous Greek composer who is perhaps my favorite with Tomita from Japan, two albums feature Jon Anderson from Yes singing but you will also know the Chariots of Fire and Blade Runner soundtracks. I had posted a few of these before when my settings were off so I took it down...also I had the date wrong on 'The Dragon' but you can change that (Just saw it on Wiki after posting). Have also before posted Aphrodite's Child. Each release here has a special theme but you can read more about that here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vangelis

Gettin' ya'll ready for the Summer Of Love 50th Anniversary! One the most 'punk rock' of the sixties bands since they really didn't know how to play and ended up creating an awesome album or two. Interesting history on this band here: http://observer.com/2017/05/country-joe-the-fish-electric-music-for-the-mind-and-body-anniversary-review/

REPOST and REMASTER: Turns out I was missing an album or two from last week and since the 76 album was all scratchy, I picked up a better copy for cheap also. Included is the 'Cut The Cake' track I had re-posted last week using the copy on the 'VIII' album. Thus please replace previous files.
