Welcome to my world

In 2012, thanks to the game-changing help of genuine musicians, Lyle Bell, of  The Wet Secrets & Shout Out Out Out Out, Ben Disaster, of Ben Disaster fame, Emma Frazier, also of The Wet Secrets and humble drummer, Adam "Maple Syrup" Martz, I was able to start a music program for some insanely-inspiring kids who were like, yeah, no way can we learn to play and we'll never be good enough to be in a band and let's just give up before we try. So, yeah, they were in the band, they played hard, they melted hearts and faces .. and yeah.

Soon ... OK, someday, we hope to further develop and expand that program to include more kids, more space, more equipment and more laughs, so more noise and more shiny objects!  Whoohoo!  If you would like more info please click here and/or contact me if you would like to know how you can help.

In the meantime, I take jobs doing fun stuff.  Last winter I had a job working with Kindergarten kids who gave me the straight goods for a few hours every morning. I learned that I need better pants, that I talk funny, and that I am not very good at robot dancing. This fall I am helping a friend who owns a Halloween store so I see lots of little kids every day. So far I have learned that I need better hair, that I walk funny, and that I am not very good at Stay Puft Marshmallow Man dancing.

I still do some freelancing and writing for myself when the opportunity arises. Most recently, I started working on a novel about a woman in her late-50s who deals with ongoing peer pressure from pre-schoolers.
