12–6 PM, Thursday through Monday, closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

MoMA PS1 is closed in recognition of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. MoMA PS1 closes at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve.

Gallery admission is free for MoMA members, MoMA Corporate Members, MoMA admission ticket holders, New York City Residents*, NYC public school students, Members of the Press, & other Museum Staff with valid ID. Certain special exhibitions and programs may require a separate admission ticket. MoMA tickets must be presented at MoMA PS1 within 14 days of the date on the ticket and are not valid during Warm Up and some MoMA PS1 special exhibitions, events or benefits.

**Free Admission as a Gift to New Yorkers in honor of MoMA PS1's 40th Anniversary, made possible by the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Foundation. Through October 15, 2017 all residents of New York’s five boroughs receive free entrance to all exhibitions during regular museum hours; excluding concerts, fundraisers, and ticketed events. Upon arrival please present proof of New York City residency such as a driver’s license, state-issued identification card or a New York City utility bill.

Directions

MoMA PS1 is located at 22-25 Jackson Avenue at 46th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, across the Queensboro Bridge from midtown Manhattan, and is easily accessible by bus and subway. By subway, take either the E or M to Court Square-23 Street; the 7 to Court Square; or the G to Court Sq or 21 St-Van Alst. By bus, take the Q67 to Jackson and 46th Ave or the B62 to 46th Ave.

Tips for Visiting

Accessibility

The public entrance on Jackson Avenue is accessible by ramp. Wheelchairs are available free of charge in the coat check on a first-come, first-served basis. The three main floors, including the bookstore and café, are accessible by elevator. For elevator access to the basement, please ask for assistance at the front desk in the lobby area. Wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are located on floors 1, 2, and 3. Checkroom

MoMA PS1 requires visitors to check backpacks of any size, messenger bags, shopping bags, umbrellas, and all items 11 x 14 inches (28 x 35.5 cm) or larger. To avoid a lengthy wait in the checkroom line, visitors should not bring such items. The checkroom reserves the right to refuse any item and is not responsible for items held by the checkroom. More specific size requirements may apply to certain galleries.

Cameras / Photo Policy

Photography is permitted in the public spaces of the museum. Museum staff reserves the right to restrict or prohibit photography for certain exhibitions. In galleries where photography is allowed, visitors can use small cameras and cellphone cameras. Flash photography, videography, tripods, camera extension poles and photography for professional purposes are not allowed.

Cellular Phones

The use of cellular phones is not permitted in the galleries.

Sketching

Sketching is permitted in the galleries (pencil only, no ink or paint) with sketchbooks no larger than 8 1/2 x 11 inches (21.6 x 27.9 cm).

Strollers

Strollers are permitted in the museum, however when visiting certain exhibitions containing fragile sculptural elements you may be asked to check the stroller at the entrance to the exhibition.
