    Malaysia showed significant improvement in press freedom having moved up 22 places to 101/180 rank in the 2020 World Press Freedom index, outranking other ASEAN countries. Malaysia’s score also dropped by 3.62 points to 33.12, with lower score indicating greater press freedom.
