Gayle King (born December 28, 1954) is a co-anchor of CBS This Morning and an editor-at-large for O, The Oprah Magazine. She is best friends with Oprah Winfrey.
King was born in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Her father was an electrical engineer and her mother was a homemaker. As a result of her father's work, King spent several years of her childhood in Turkey, where she attended an American school. The family later returned to Maryland. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1976 with a double degree in psychology and sociology. King then moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she was a reporter and weekend anchor at WDAF-TV. In 1981, she was hired as a news anchor for WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut, where she worked for 18 years. Part of that time, she lived in Glastonbury, CT. In 1991, King briefly cohosted an NBC daytime talk show with Robin Wagner called Cover to Cover which was cancelled after 13 weeks. In 1997 she was offered her own syndicated talk show, The Gayle King Show, which was cancelled after one season due to low ratings.
CBS This Morning is an American morning television program that is broadcast on CBS. The program, which shares its title with a more traditionally formatted morning program that aired on the network from 1987 to 1999, airs Monday through Saturdays from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. in all time zones (airing live in the Eastern Time Zone and on tape-delay in the Central and Mountain Time Zones; stations in the Pacific Time Zone receive an updated feed with a specialized opening and updated live reports). It is the tenth distinct morning news-features program format that CBS has aired since 1954, having replaced The Early Show on January 9, 2012.
The weekday edition of the program is currently anchored by Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell. The program emphasizes general national and international news stories and in-depth reports throughout each edition, although it also includes live in-studio and pre-taped interviews. The format was chosen as an alternative to the soft news and lifestyle-driven formats of competitors Today and Good Morning America following the first hour or half-hour of those broadcasts, in an attempt to give the program a competitive edge with its hard news format (CBS has historically placed third in the ratings among the network morning shows).

Oprah Gail Winfrey, born January 29, 1954, is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is now North America's first and only multi-billionaire Black. Several assessments regard her as the most influential woman in the world. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama and honorary doctorate degrees from Duke and Harvard.
Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and later raised in an inner-city Milwaukee neighborhood. She has stated that she was molested during her childhood and early teens and became pregnant at 14; her son died in infancy. Sent to live with the man she calls her father, a barber in Tennessee, Winfrey landed a job in radio while still in high school and began co-anchoring the local evening news at the age of 19. Her emotional ad-lib delivery eventually got her transferred to the daytime-talk-show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company and became internationally syndicated.

"CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King sits down with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, whose new book, "Settle For More," sheds light on her complicated relationships with President-elect Donald Trump and former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes.
People see what they want to see
And they make it worth to some degree
But that aint the case with you and me
Weve got something thats strong and wonderful
People look all over town
Long until the sun goes down
But it seems to me, that what weve found what they are searching for
(Chorus)
What we got
All we need is
Baby like a circle complete
Take me down that high road
Where love is sweet and
Life is about a perfect moment
We were meant to be eternal
People say nothing lasts
But rules were meant to break like glass
Even if the time went past
We would still be the same
(Chorus)
We were meant to be eternal
Way beyond the twelfth of never
Thats how long well be together now
