North Korea has issued statement threatening 'nuclear war' against the United States if it is attacked. 'The DPRK will react to a total war with an all-out war, a nuclear war with nuclear strikes of its own and surely win a victory in the death-defying struggle against the US imperialists,' a Foreign Ministry spokesman wrote Saturday. North Korea also appears to have resumed work at its nuclear test site in Punggye-ri, in the northeastern part of the country. . This new threat from North Korea comes in response to Vice President Pence's (top right) visit to South Korea by the United States, and the increased tensions will be a hot topic in Washington on Monday with the visit of US Ambassador Nikki Haley (bottom right), who will be escorting UN Security Council members to the capital for a series of meetings with congress and in the White House. 

Scientists worldwide took to the streets Saturday along with students, research advocates and celebrities to push back against what they say are mounting attacks on science - including research budget cuts by Donald Trump. The March for Science, coinciding with Earth Day, was anchored in Washington, DC and set to be mirrored in other US cities, including New York, Miami and Denver, as well as in other countries around the globe. It also attracted celebrities including Bill Nye the Science Guy (center), Rosario Dawson (top-right, with fans), Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh and Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi. Although officially non-partisan, it was dreamed up at the Women's March on Washington, which took place a day after Donald Trump's inauguration on January 21 - and signs across the world made it clear that his cuts on science were a cause of some ire. The sign that nine-year-old Sam Klimas held at the DC rally was red, handmade and personal: 'Science saved my life.' He had a form of brain cancer and has been healthy for eight years now. His mother, grandmother and brother traveled with him from Parkersburg, West Virginia. 'I have to do everything I can to oppose the policies of this administration,' said his grandmother, Susan Sharp.

The body of Aaron Hernandez arrived in his hometown of Bristol, Connecticut on Saturday. The casket was driven from Faggas Funeral home in Watertown, Massachusetts where his body had been kept since the convicted murderer committed suicide in his jail cell before dawn on Wednesday. The hearse carrying the former Patriots star arrived at 1.35pm. It quickly backed up to the funeral home and within a minute Hernandez's body was carried in a side door.

The soldiers can be heard marshalling each other amid loud gunshots. One guard begins by firing warning shots around the boat which can be seen landing just feet away from the speedboat. The photojournalism of Pulitzer Prize-winner Eddie Adams is showcased in the new book 'Eddie Adams: Bigger Than The Frame', published by the University of Texas Press. Adams's first published career retrospective presents a selection of the photographers best work from the 1950s through the early 2000s. Starting as a photographer in the Marines, Adams covered 13 wars, including Vietnam, refugees, politicians and celebrities.

Racine Pregunta, 20, from Davao City, in the southern Philippines, died last week after a battle with osteosarcoma. As she knew her last days were approaching the young woman decided to make plans for her funeral. Among the plans she had one sole request, to die looking beautiful. Artiles paid Thomas $2,000 between March and June of last year for consulting work on his campaign, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Two pit bulls attacked John Brady and his six-year-old Jack Russell terrier named Josh in Avalon, California, shocking video shows. The two 11-year-old pit bulls attacked Josh and proceeded to attack Brady when he stepped in to save his pet. The owner of the pit bulls, an unidentified woman, tried to control her animals and eventually, Harbor Patrol officers pulled the dogs off Brady. Brady said: 'My dog, I just, thank god he's alive because I want to be with him now. He's my best friend in the world.'

The inflatable segment that extends between the seat and rear wheel may also be inflated to a lower pressure to tune the suspension characteristics of the frame.’

Footage shows the driver, called Felipe, lifting up the load on the forks as his companion looks on. But it quickly becomes clear his haul is too heavy, and the vehicle tips over into the skip. Luckily, it quickly bounces back into position after depositing the goods. Both men can be heard laughing afterwards and no one was hurt during the incident.
