Angie is an American sitcom that was originally broadcast by the ABC network from February 2, 1979 to September 4, 1980. The series was created by Garry Marshall and Dale McRaven, and produced by Miller-Milkis Productions (Miller-Milkis-Boyett in season two) in association with Paramount Television.
The series starred Donna Pescow in the lead role, Robert Hays as her love interest and eventual husband, and Doris Roberts and Debralee Scott as her mother and sister, respectively.
A DVD release of the series was announced, for release later in 2015.

(In response to Angie asking him just how wealthy, he replied, "You've heard of 'filthy rich?' We're disgusting.")

From the minds of Steve and Nancy Carell comes Angie Tribeca, a satirical look at the police procedural. Rashida Jones stars as Angie, a 10-year veteran of the LAPD's elite RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit). The single-camera comedy explores an eccentric but brilliant group of people who investigate crime, reveal way too much personal information, and refuse to rest until justice has been served ... sort of.

This is the Season One opening sequence from "Police Woman," the 1974-1978 NBC-TV police drama starring Angie Dickinson and Earl Holliman. Although I wasn't a big fan of "Police Woman," I loved Morton Stevens' theme music for the show.

Robert McElhiney James (born December 25, 1939) is a jazz and jazz fusion keyboardist, arranger and producer. During the 1970s, Bob James played a major role in turning fusion jazz more mainstream. "Angela", the instrumental theme from the 1970s television sitcom "Taxi", is probably Bob James' most well-known work to date. It was featured on "Touchdown", a 1978 jazz album which was a commercial breakout album for him. The song was named after the guest character in the third episode of the first season ("Blind Date"), but after hearing the song, the producers made this the show's main theme, replacing their previous choice, which became this album's title track. The title of the album is a reference to it being his sixth solo album, a touchdown being worth six points in American footb...
Angie Angie
When will those clouds all disappear?
Angie Angie
Where will it lead us from here?
With no loving in our soul and no money in our coats
Well you can't say we're satisfied
Angie Angie
Well, you can't say we never tried
Angie beautiful but ain't it time we said goodbye?
Angie I still love you
Remember all those nights we cried?
All the dreams we held so close
Seemed to all go up in smoke
Well, let me whisper in your ear
Angie, Angie
Where will it lead us from here?
Oh Angie don't you weep
All your kisses still taste sweet
I hate that sadness in your eyes
Angie Angie
Ain't it time we said goodbye?
With no loving in our soul and no money in our coats
You can't say we're satisfied
But Angie
I still love you baby
Ev'rywhere I look I see your eyes
There ain't a woman that comes close to you
So come on baby dry your eyes
Angie Angie
Ain't it good to be alive?
Angie Angie
