Journal Club

Launched by research students in 2014, the political economy Journal Club meets biweekly to discuss and debate a piece of academic research. The articles are chosen by members on rotation and include both ‘classic’ and contemporary research. The aim of the group is to broaden research students’ knowledge across the discipline of political economy and provide an opportunity for students to regularly come together and discuss key ideas. From time to time we invite leading Australia-based political economists to attend to discuss their work, and most recently the group has been joined by Evan Jones, Adam Morton, Raewyn Connell and Noel Castree.

The group is open to all research students and staff in the Department of Political Economy as well as to research students based in other departments at the University of Sydney but working in political economy or a related field. For more information contact Claire Parfitt.
